Summary: The article gives comparative analyses of allowed
explosives quantites at blasting in urban environments. In stone.pit
"Špica" executed were precise measurings after mass blasting in order to
obtain the value of allowed explosive quantity with respect to adjacent
housing structures. The measurings were performed at several observation
spots, with three-component geophones and a comparative analysis,
considering the criteria in the world, is give.

Summary: The drilling geometry for blasting can be determined by the
amount of explosive energy transferred to the rock mass. All parameters
which are required for the determination of the drilling geometry are give
for different explosives and for different rock types. An example of
calculation of the parameters which define the drilling geometry is
presented. This example is related to a limestone quarry. A relationship
between the burden, which is the distance between the charged borehole and
the free rock surface, and the velocita of longitudinal waves in the rock
mass is establised based on measured values for different quarries. It is
shown that the drilling geometry can also be determined from this
relationship. The values of the drilling geometry calculated from this
relationship are in a very good agreement with those calculated by the
explosives energy transferred to the rock mass.

Summary: The shear strength parameters c and f which are determined
in the laboratory may also be evaluated based on the seismic refraction
method which is one of the most frequent methods used in geophysical
investigations because it is relatively cheap and simple. A PC programme
was devolped using Turbo Basic for plane slope stability analysis. The
programme determies the factors of safety for various discontinuity and
slope angles , and determines the functions of slope angle and slope
height. The factors of safety for the analysis of slopes with plane
failures can also be evaluated from the Hoek curves.

Summary: The optimalization of exploatation in "Lakovići" limestone
quarryis described. Based on determined discontinuites in the rock massand
their densities, the best possible working site have beenlocated in order
to obtain the possible sizes of blasted rock andwork slope stability.
Optimal lowest resistance line size for the quarry has beencounted and
proved experimentally.
New blasting parameters have resulted in considerable saving ofdrilling and
explosive.

Summary: It is known for a certainty that in aggression against
Croatiaseveral ten thousand structures were damaged to a greather orsmaller
extent.
Within the reconstruction of the country a great part of thesestructures
which were built of concrete and reinforced concrete, will have to ber
broken down and replaced with new ones on theirplaces.
Depending upon their locations in the urbane environment oroutside of it,
the breaking down of these structures is possiblein two different ways.
A conventional mode of breaking down the structures by mining andthe
application of unexplosive means for breaking the concreteand reinforced
concrete on the basis of expansion stress arepresented.

Summary: Morphological investigations are today a vital part of
karst research. The region of Herzegovina and Dalmatia are situated in the
part of Croatia and Bosnian and Herzegovina where the famous Dinaric karst
is very well developed, together with a great mumber of bauxite orebodies.
Thesedeposits are well known by their number, quality and diversity of
morphological types. This is a basic motif for morphological investigations
of karstic paleorelief.

Title: Numerical taxonomy classification of metatarsal and
metacarpal bones species Ursus spelaeus and U. arctos
Faculty: Prirodoslovno-matematički Zagreb
Date of defense: 06/11/93
Language: hrvatski
Number of pages: 135
Summary: Numerical taxonomy was used in this work for classification
ofmetatarsus and metacarpus bones of two species: Ursus spelaeusand U.
arctos. The method is applied for the first time inCroatia in a
paleontological research.
The complete taxonomical classification results in sorting of themetacarpus
and metatarsus bones (OTO), objexts) into groups, onthe ground of selected
criteria.
The result of the usage of UPGMA method (unweighted pair-groupmethod using
arithmetic averages) have been presented bydendrogram.
The numerical-taxonomical classification based on themorphometrical
characteristics point out the variability offossil and recent material.
Variability within fossil materialcould be the result of different
geological ages of individualfindings.
