    Summary: Modern wind energy technologies are only 15 years old. Atpresent, wind turbines worldwide have more than 2.000 MW. InEurope leads Denmark with 450 MW installed. For wind energy toprovide 10% of EC electricity 100.000 MW of wind power generatingcapacity must be installed which will, by 2030, create 50.000long-term jobs. Like ours Mediterranean neighbours small butresolute steps in that direction must be made by independentCroatia. We mist find proper locations, required legislation,investment strategy and start investigation at small pilot windfarms using commercial wind turbines.
