Summary: Mineral composition and compressive strngth of the cement
stone intended for cementing indeep oil-well after hydrothermal treatment
has been investigated. Mineral composition has been related to strength
alteration of cement stone. In the paper presented are effects of
hydrothermal treatment in the laboratory condition on different cements
and/or CaO/SiO2 (C/S) ratio. The samples of the cement stone, presenting
mixture of cement and silica, had been prepared in the laboratory
conditions and autoclaved at 160 grades Celsius and the pressure of steam
equlibria for period of 7 and 28 days. Phase composition in the cement
sample than has been determinated by X-ray powder diffraction (XRD), and by
simultaneous (DTA/TGA/DTG) method. Morphology and elemental composition of
some phases have been determined by SEM/EDAX method. The results of this
investigation indicate relation vetween mineral composition and strenght of
cement stone. It make possible to design the most appropriate composition
of cement slurries for cementing in deep oil and geothermal wells.

since the entering of raw materials into the kiln system for clinker
