    Summary: This work deals with finding the solution of prolonging the lifetime of cereal transporting pipeline. The specimen material wereselected according to avaliability of materials, practicabilityand acceptability of cost. Weat and barley were used as workingmedium. The conclustion is that the most critical parts ofpipeline can be manufactured by non-alloyed steels, whichincludes improved surface resistance by hard facing.

    Summary: This work deals with finding the solution of reparing of cerealtransporting pipeline. According to existing literature thisproblem has not been adequately treated, thus the above mentionedtribological problem has not been sufficiently explored. Theresearch was done under laboratory conditions. The specimensmaterials were selected according to availability of materials,practicability and acceptability of cost. Obtained research showsthat the most critical parts of pipeline can be manufactured bynon-alloyed steels, which includes improved surface resistance byhard facing.

    Summary: Based on a several years monitoring of appearance of sheetscontained in the walls of fuel storage and transportion tanks incoastal region of Croatia (Dalmatia), interesting conclustionsare made. Influence of corrosive attacking media andmicroclimatic conditions upon the appearance of inner wallsurface and location of tank upon the outer side of walls isregistered. These findings may be used as useful recommendationsfor design of future tanks and maintenance of existing fuelstorage tanks in the coastland.

    Summary: This analisys is performed on four steel specimens ČL.4577(AISI-305) somewhat different chemical composition within standard specification. Laboratory evaluation was performed taking in account empirical and literature data on operational parameters, thermal loading being the most important. Although Č. 4577 belongs to the group of extremely fire resistant materials, experiments showed that deterioration of structural integrity occours with corresponding change in mechanical properties.

    Summary: In this work on the shaping machine austenitic steel AISI 316 Ti was machined ortogonally. Tool rake angle, feed or undeformed chip thickness and cutting spedd was varied. By using previously embossed grid method, quantification of disturbance in structural integrity of machined surface was possible. Measurements were made by metallographic microscope and microscope and microhardness tester. Results are shown in form of figures and diagrams. In addition, the cutting ratio was determined. Appearances of machined surface and chips by macropolished samples were verified. Based on observations and results of measurements corresponding conclusion for practical use are derived.

    Summary: This work is focused on the research of the influence of stressrelief annealing upon the properties of microalloved steel weldedjoints. The tests were carried out by annealing the base metal,and welding and annealing of steel weldments NIOVAL 50, NIOBAL 43and N-A-XTRA 70. The welding process applied the MAG procedurewith various heat inputs. Stress relief heat treatment wasperformed at the temperatures of 450, 550, 650 C, during theperiod of four hours. The mechanical properties and the analysisof microstructure of weldments were tested and structural testswere performed by x-ray diffraction and scanning analysis.
