    Held: from 10/15/91 to 10/17/91
Summary: The environment in which people live and work has limitedpotentials and resources. The interaction between industrialobjects, energetics, marine technology structures and environmentcauses harmful consequences on the environment. A lot of factorshave been studied during the analysis of effects of marinetechnology structures on the environment, but it is of greatimportance to know the mode of detection and the motion of traceelements in environment, since they are important both for livenature and for the processes in extinct segments which be morethoroughly studied. The measuring technique will be X rayspectroscopy, polarometry and UV spectroscopy.
Keywords: Marine technology structures, X ray, polarometry, ultraviolet spectroscopy, environment.

Meeting: International Symposium on Environmental Contamination in Central and Eastern Europe
    Held: from 10/12/92 to 10/16/92
Summary: The interaction between industrial objects, energetics, marinetechnology structures and environment causes harmful consequenceson the environment. It is important to know the change in theconcentrations of trace elements, especially heavy metals. Themethod of polarographic analysis applied in the analysis of toxicmetals in aquueous solutions is described. This method has alarge range of applications, particularly for the analysis oftraces in aqueous solutions. Possibilities of these method are inthe field of toxic metals determination. Limits of detection areoften extremly law. The measurements have shown that very lowconcentration of toxic metals in sea water, such as zinc, leadand cadmium can be detected.
Keywords: Marine technology structures, polarometry, trace elements, environment, sea water

Proceedings title: Zbornik radova kongresa: Energija i zaštita čovjekove okoline
    Language: hrvatski
    Place: Opatija
    Year: 1992
    Pages: from 307 to 313
Meeting: International Symposium on Environmental Contamination in Central and Eastern Europe
    Held: from 10/28/92 to 10/30/92
Summary: The fluorescence spectroscopy is used as a method ofidentification of the mineral oil pollutanzs on the sea surface.Fluorescence spectra of oil solutions in different solvents(benzene, hexane, cyclohexane, isooctane, xylene, toluene) havebeen measured. In a chosen solvent, spectra of various oils atconstant solution concentration have been recordered. Theinfluence of oil concentration on fluorescence spectra have beenalso examined.
Keywords: Fluorescence spectroscopy, pollutions, mineral oils

Meeting: X. SIMPOZIJ TEORIJA I PRAKSA BRODOGRADNJE, in memoriam prof. Leopold Sorta
    Held: from 10/22/92 to 10/24/92
Summary: The subject of this paper is interaction of maritime objects, particulatly of marine technology structures with environment. The exploitation of these structures in natural environment hasas its consequence zje impact on environment, especially on thesea, so that its elemental condition is changed. Characteristicsand possibilities of applying several methoda for defining andanalyzing of trace elements concentration especially metals inthe sea, are elaborated. The focus is on the aspect of the X rayspectroscopy and polarometry.

    Language: engleski
    Place: Bled, Slovenija
    Year: 1995
    Pages: from 77 to 77
Meeting: Spectroscopy in Theory and Practice
    Held: from 04/10/95 to 04/13/95
Summary: The information concerning the effect of used motor oils on the soil and equatic environment are discussed. In contrast to crude oil pollutin, used motor oil pollutin is world wide, becouse the major sources are automotive traffic and industrial activity. Used motor oils are very dangerous polluting products. They contain polynuclear aromatic hydrocarbons and havy metals such as Pb, Zn, Cu, Cr, Ni and Cd at high levels. These metals are highly tocsics to living organisms. In this work, the concentration levels of additive metals: Zn, Ca and Mg as well as the metals from fuel: Pb, V and Ni, and from motor wear: Cr, Fe, Cu and Cd are discussed.
Keywords: environment, havy metals, motor oils, AAS
