Summary: In the methodology of scientific ergonomy research in
general,and especially in the field of traffic there are numerousspecific

Summary: In the city O Zagreb, in mid-May 1994, the gighest allowed
travel speeds on some roads have been increased, according to the proposal
that includes ten "fastest" city roads. In the article the first results of
the project evaluation in terms of real travel speeds on "experimental" and
some "control" section, and according to drivers judgement and opinion
using subject roads have been discussed. Obtained effects on refer to the
expected lines, but in order to reach the assinged target, some further
activities are to be carried out.

Summary: The paper deals with the discrepancy between the
requirements and possibilities of one unified transport system of Croatia
and lack of one clearly defined strategy of its long-term development based
upon combined transport services. In congruence with the completed analyses

Summary: Research results which provided a base to establish a model
for including railway in the suburban and urban public transport are
presented publicly for the first time in this paper. The
conceptual model which has been made during the research is based on a
certain criteria scale. These criteria are: number of inhabitants, number
of employed, number of the railway passengers, importance of a railway
station in county, economic importance of the town/place, attraction of the
district, number of rails in the station, supstitution criteria, etc. To
ilustrate the role of railway in improvement of quality of public transport
service, especially in cities, the results of research in Zagreb will be
presented. Greater integration of railway in the urban and suburban public
transport would make a remarcable developmental and organisational
improvement in connecting road and railway transport systems. This is
especially the case in Zagreb where there is possibility to establish a
uniform track
system provided by uniform tariff system.
