Summary: The use of water resources for power production in Croatia
datesback to the begining of century. In spite of the development ofthermal
and nuclear power plants, hydropower plants in Croatiaplay a prominent part
in the power supply. Solving hydropowerprojects as a part of comprenhensive
system of regulation,development and management of water and land may
reduceirrational resistence and help finding out optimum solutions forthe
society as a hole.
