Summary: Until recently, panoramas were mostly hand-made, using
differentperspective representations in combination with artistic
andpainting elements. The development of computers inducedcartographers to
apply them in making computer-aided landscaperepresentations. We have used
SURFER program as a system forautomated construction of perspective views
from digital terrainmodels. However, in order to make a landscape map based
on theperspective relief representation, one has to put certain 3-Dobject
in the appropriate places on the relief surface. It can beperformed by
using AutoCAD. The computer-aided landscaperepresentations of a part of
Medvednica MOuntain are enclosed.

Summary: At the Faculty of Architecture University of Zagreb we are
tryingto stay in touch with the progress in the field of computergraphics.
Our main goal has been to improve and modernizeteaching and research work.
The methodology and some results of ayear experiment using personal
computer in Descriptive geomtrycourses are presented. The main features of
this experimentare:the use of computers during lectures to present and
visualizedifferent topics and the addition of working sessions on
computerto the standard time-table of the courses.

Summary: Panoramas are representations closely related to map,
usualullyshowing a landscape.Viewing a panorama everybody can at
firstglance visualize the shape and character of the landscape.Theprogram
SURFER is used for graphic representation 3-D surfaces byusing a personal
computer. In principle, the GRID program is usedto create a regularly spaced
grid for irregularly spaced originaldata.Based on the regularly spaced
grid, the SURF program enablescreating axonometric and perspective surface
plots. This mentionedrepresentations can be arranged and supplemented by
usingAutoCAD.Several new 3-D symbols,as well as some unique objects(the
Queen's Well or St. Jacob Chapel) is designed by by usingAutoCAD.To
represent an object in 3-D, the method of photographreconstruction can be
used.It is based on a single photographyfrom which all real dimension of
the object can be determined, provided that at least one true linear
dimension is known inadvance. In such a way we are able to combine the
perspectiverepresentation of landscape produced by SURFER with
corresponding3-D symbols and single objects, which results in
thecomputer-aided panoramas.

Summary: The Gilbert Two-World perspective projection does have
extraordinary visual properties that make it an interesting and feasible
subtitute for the 3-D globe. The present paper describes a possibility of
computer-aided 3-D globe modelling. Futhermore, the entire earth taken as a
sphere is transformed onto each half of the globe, establishing thus the
Gilbert's globe. That is the sphere with two conformal images of the earth.
It represents the world as people usually see it, from space and in the
round, but at the same time it represents the whole earth's surface.
