Summary: Young cattle of both sex weighting 250 kg on an averagr,
wereincluded in the study aimed at investigation of pharmacokineticsof
Monil 10% suspension ad us. vet. (PLIVA) which has beenprepared by new and
old technology, but with an identical contentof active ingredient. Each
animal was administered a single oraldose of 15 mg of active substance/kg
bw.
Obtained results clearly showed increased bioavailability oftested product
obtained by a new technological method.Antiparasitic concentration in the
blood serum and liquid rumencontent was higher by 7,1%, by 91% resp.

Summary: The bioavailability of the two preparations: GeomycinR
retard20%, Pliva and LiquamycinR LA 200, Pfizer were compared in twogroups
of swine (33-91 kg b.w.). Single doses administered wereequal to 20 mg OTC
per kg b.w., and injection site was neck orham.
Obtained results showed that plasma concentrations of OTC above0,5
microgram/ml ewrw with both preparations maintained for 48 h,and higher
level of antibiotic were achieved after aplication inthe neck, and with
GeomycinR retard 20% (Pliva).

Summary: In accordiance with technological development, Pliva
accepted andprepared the new technology in manufacture of products that
areused in therapy of udder. Products prepared by new technologyposess high
quality because of:
- elimination of unfavourable influence of zeta-potential
- spherical shape of disperged drug particles
- elimination tyxotrophyc effect
- high level of micronisation and high coefficient ofsuspensibility
- chemically protection of the drugs
