Title: Autovegetative Propagation of Certain species of the Genus
Alnus L.
- Authors:
- Krstinić, Ante (24010)
- Kajba, Davorin (137015)
Journal: Šumarski list
Number: 1
ISSN: 0373-1332
Volume: 117
Year: 1993
Pages: from 7 to 16
Number of references: 18
Language: hrvatski
Summary: Several years of testing the autovegetative propagation
ofcertain species of the Alnus L. genus have shown that rooting ofcuttings
depends on the species; clone; physiological conditionof the cuttings; age
of the donor; application of stimulativemeans for the rooting;
concentration of the applied stimulator;the substrate used for planting the
cuttings, etc. Adult treesare also possible to propagate autovegetatively
after grafting.
Keywords: Alnus glutinosa, A. rubra, A. subcordata, autovegetative propagation, plagiotropic and ortotropic growth

Summary: Presented are the results of investigation on fibre
lengthvariations from natural population of birch wood (Betula
pendula,Roth.) grown in Croatia. Fibre length vary from 0,38 mm, withmean
of 0,98 mm. Fibril length in trunkwood and branchwood growthrings increases
from pith to bark.

Title: First results arborescent willow improvement by selfing,
back cross and transgression
- Authors:
- Krstinić, Ante (24010)
- Kajba, Davorin (137015)
Journal: Šumarski list
Number: 5-6
ISSN: 0373-1332
Volume: 119
Year: 1995
Pages: from 163 to 168
Number of references: 14
Language: hrvatski
Summary: To meet the requirements of biomass production in short
rotations, the White Willow (Salix alba L.) has been crossed with the
Chinese Willow (S. matsudana Koidz.) For the first time the improvement
mothods of selfing, back cross and transgression have been used.
Cloning plus variant it was possible, in the produced families, to make
selection of new genotypes of Arborescent Wollows that will be suitable for
biomass production in short rotations. Morphologically aberrant minus
variants can be used in horticulture.
Keywords: Arborescent Willows, biomass, improvement by selfing, back cross and transgression.
Title: Genetics of Black Alder (Alnus glutinosa (L.) Gaertn.)
- Authors:
- Krstinić, Ante (24010)

Language: hrvatski
Summary: The Black Alder is spread all over Europe from Ireland in
the west to the western Sibiria in the east, as far as the northern Africa
in the south and to 60 degrees in the north.
The work gives brief of taxonomy, importance for forestry and enviromental
protection, growth and production in natural habitats, plantations, sexual
reproduction, flowering and fruiting and seed yield in clonal seed
orchards, types of seed orchards, vegetative propagation, genetic
variability of natural populations, cytology, interspecies compatibility
and selfincompatibility, effects of alder fixed nitrogen on growth of other
species, soil and weeds, nutrient accumulation, improvement of Black Alder.
Keywords: Alnus glutinosa (L.) Gaertn., genetic variability, provenance, generative and vegetative propagation, individual selection, cytology, hybridization, improvement.
Title: Previously state of distribution of the species Galinsoga
quadriradiata Ruiz et Pavon (Asteraceae) in Croatia
- Authors:
- Trinajstić, Ivo (50472)
- Franjić, Josip (179916)

Journal: Fragmenta phytomedica et herbologica
Number: 2
Volume: 21

Pages: from 117 to 121
Number of references: 11
Language: hrvatski
Summary: During the last few years a further spreading of the
neophytic species Galinsoga quadriradiata Ruiz et Pavon (=G. ciliata
(Rafin.) Blake) was noticed in Croatia. Until now it has been known from
the western part of Croatia only and this on a relatively small number of
localities.
By the lastest horologic research G. quadriradiata was found on anorther 20
localities namely Motovun, Opatija, Severin na Kupi, Palažnik, Gregurić
Breg, Prekrižje, Jastrebarsko, Stupnik, Lučko, Rab, Senj, Donji Lopci,
Josiptol, Donje mekušje, Sesvete, motel "Stari hrastovi", Koprivnica,
Repaš, Požega and Donji Miholjac.
Keywords: Galinsoga quadriradiata, G. ciliata, distribution in Croatia
Title: Clone collection of pure species and hybrids of poplars
from section Aigeiros in the republic of Croatia-their importance for the
improvement and the silviculture
- Authors:
- Krstinić, Ante (24010)
- Kajba, Davorin (137015)
Journal: Šumarski list
Number: 1-2
ISSN: 0373-1332
Volume: 118
Year: 1994
Pages: from 33 to 38
Number of references: 10
Language: hrvatski
Summary: In the Republic of croatia in total 102 clones of black
poplars pure species and hybrids are registered. Out of 28 clones which are
reproduced in tree nurseries, most are hybrids between the Eastern
Cottonwood and the European Black Poplar (P. x euramericana /Dode/
Guinier). recently, a significant increase of clones of the Eastern
Cottonwood (P. deltoides Bartr.) has been determined, that is not in
conformity with European trends. In the work the importance of hybrids of
black Poplars, the Eastern Cottonwood and some other exotic poplar species
from the aspect of the improvement and silviculture is analyzed, too.
Keywords: Populus nigra, P. deltoides, P. x euramericana
Title: Some physiological characteristic of certain poplar clones
of section Aigeiros i Tacamahaca
- Authors:
- Komlenović, Nikola (21896)
- Krstinić, Ante (24010)
Journal: Šumarski list
Number: 5-6
ISSN: 0373-1332
Volume: 118

Summary: Genotype differences have been investigated in six poplar
clones (Populus nigra, Populus x euramericana I-214, Populus deltoides 618,
Populus deltoides 457, Populus balsamifera, and Populus deltoides ssp.
angulata) in nursery conditions, as to the number and size of the stomata,
and the concentration and accumulation of nutrients in the leaves. Analyses
have been made for the following nutritious elements: N, P, K, Ca, Mg, S,
Fe, Mn, and Zn.
The obteined results show that there are remarkable differences as to the
physiological features among the clones which have been reproduced in
Croatia nurseries and grown in forest cultures.
Keywords: Populus, section Aigeiros and Tacamahaca, concentrations and contents of nutrients, number and size stomata.
