  1. Type of paper: Paper in journal

Title: Reflections. On Spatial Organization of Jure Kaštelan s Poetry

    Authors:
    Vuletić, Branko (54024)
Journal: Umjetnost riječi. Časopis za znanost o književnosti
    Number: 1
    ISSN: 0503-1583
    Volume: 35
    Year: 1991
    Pages: from 7 to 21
    Number of references: 6
    Language: hrvatski
Summary: The reflection of one part of a text/poem in another is afrequent technique in visual as well as in everyday poetry. The reflection is a necessary, natural and motivated sign of an object. In addition to establishing the motivated relationships among various parts of the poem, the reflections suggest a reference of the poem to itself.
Keywords: Visual poetry, motivated sign, Kaštelan, J.

  2. Type of paper: Paper in journal

Title: Sound Structure of Jure Kaštelan s Poetry. Assonances and Alliterations

    Authors:
    Vuletić, Branko (54024)
Journal: Umjetnost riječi. Časopis za znanost o književnosti
    Number: 3
    ISSN: 0503-1583
    Volume: 35
    Year: 1991
    Pages: from 203 to 219
    Number of references: 4
    Language: hrvatski
Summary: Assonance and alliteration in the poetry of Jure Kaštelan may be observed as: (1) onomatopoeia, (2) sound metaphor, and (3) internal motivation device. Each repetition of sounds is a procedure of internal motivation, creation of necessary, natural relations among words. Examples of frequent alliterations reveal their constant values in J. Kaštelan s work. They are constant sound metaphors which point to a possible sound semantics in his poetry.
Keywords: Assonance, alliteration, sound semantics, Kaštelan, J.

  3. Type of paper: Paper in journal

Title: Poetic Homophones. Homophonic Relationships in the Poetry of Jure Kaštelan

    Authors:
    Vuletić, Branko (54024)
Journal: Umjetnost riječi. Časopis za znanost o književnosti
    Number: 2
    ISSN: 0503-1583
    Volume: 36
    Year: 1992
    Pages: from 131 to 154
    Number of references: 8
    Language: hrvatski
Summary: Homophonic relationships in the poetry of J.Kaštelan range from language homophones to combinations of alliterations and assonances, in other words from complete to partial homophones. Particularly important are the homophones which, by revealing secretive relationships among words, emphasize some of the key topics of Kaštelan's work.
    Keywords: Homophones, Kaštelan J.

  4. Type of paper: Paper in journal

Title: Rhymes in the Poetry of Jure Kaštelan

    Authors:
    Vuletić, Branko (54024)
    Journal: Zrcalo. Časopis za poeziju
    Number: 1
    ISSN: 1330-0210
    Volume: 2
    Year: 1992
    Pages: from 1 to 32
    Number of references: 9
    Language: hrvatski
Summary: Kaštelan's attitude to the use of rhyme varied a great deal: he wrote poems with a very full rhyming pattern, as well as those without any rhymes at all. Chronologically, it can be said that his poetry developed away from rhyme. His rhymes, when used, were rather unusual and therefore highly functional. The freedom of placement of rhymes as the general characteristc of Kaštelan's poetry gives a distinctly functional value also to rhymes in the poems or parts of poems in which the rhymes are regularly distributed.
    Keywords: Rhymes, Kaštelan J.

  5. Type of paper: Paper in journal

Title: Repetition in the Poetry of Jure Kaštelan

    Authors:
    Vuletić, Branko (54024)
    Journal: Govor. Časopis za fonetiku
    Number: 1
    ISSN: 0352-7565
    Volume: 8
    Year: 1991
    Pages: from 49 to 90
    Number of references: 8
    Language: hrvatski
Summary: Repetition is one of the fundamental devices of poetry. A poem is virtually built on repetitions. The basic, vertical dimension of poetic sign is built by repetition: its richness, its stratification, non-linearity is realized. No wonder, then that repetition is a key poetic figure.
Keywords: Kaštelan, J., repetition, spatial organization

  6. Type of paper: Paper in journal

Title: Enjambement in the Poetry of Jure Kaštelan

    Authors:
    Vuletić, Branko (54024)
Journal: Umjetnost riječi. Časopis za znanost o književnosti
    Number: 1
    ISSN: 0503-1583
    Volume: 37
    Year: 1993
    Pages: from 45 to 58
    Number of references: 7
    Language: hrvatski
Summary: Enjambement is a result of noncorrespondence between the metric structure of the verse and rhythmic structure of the sentence. When a sense unit exceeds the limits of the verse, the rhythm is no longer formed within the verse, but within the syntactical unit. The verse limit is subordinate to the syntactical limit, in other words, the pause is subordinate to intonation.
    Keywords: Kaštelan, J., enjambement

  7. Type of paper: Paper in journal

Title: An Attempt to Classify Gesture Metaphors Acording to their Experiential Province

    Authors:
    Ivas, Ivan (98343)
    Journal: Govor. Časopis za fonetiku
    Number: 1
    ISSN: 0352-7565
    Volume: 8
    Year: 1992
    Pages: from 113 to 134
    Number of references: 12
    Language: hrvatski
Summary: Metaphoric gesture is defined in respect to other kinds of gestures. Though gesture metaphors evoke the broadest possible experiential provinces and does not, like verbal metaphor, form stylistic layers, they have an extensive rhetorical value.
    Keywords: Gesture, metaphor, non-verbal communication

  8. Type of paper: Paper in journal

Title: Stylistics and Poetics. On the Inversion in Jure Kaštelan's Poetry

    Authors:
    Vuletić, Branko (54024)
Journal: Umjetnost riječi. Časopis za znanost o književnosti
    Number: 3-4
    ISSN: 0503-1583
    Volume: 38
    Year: 1994
    Pages: from 235 to 244
    Number of references: 8
    Language: hrvatski
Summary: Inversion is not only a sylistic device. In a poem it is also a poetic device. Inversion is a stylistic device when it clearly breaks its context. In a poem an inversion does not break its context, because each part of the poem is reflected in the inversion.
Keywords: Stylistics, poetics, inversion, Kaštelan, J.

  9. Type of paper: Paper in journal

Title: Spatial Organization of Speech and of a Poem

Journal: SUVAG. Časopis ya teoriju i primjenu verbotonalnog sistema
    Number: 1-2
    ISSN: 0353-2704
    Volume: 5
    Year: 1992
    Pages: from 13 to 25
    Number of references: 12
    Language: hrvatski
Summary: A speech sign and a poetic sign have numerous characteristics in common. They are motivated, individual, subjective and material. All their features come out of the materiality. Both signs are spatial because materiality is a synonym for spatiality.
Keywords: Speech, poem, speech sign, poetic sign, spatiality

  10. Type of paper: Paper in journal

Title: Distortion in Jure Kaštelan's poetry

    Authors:
    Vuletić, Branko (54024)
    Journal: Govor. Časopis za fonetiku
    Number: 2
    ISSN: 0352-7565
    Volume: 10
    Year: 1993
    Pages: from 1 to 13
    Number of references: 5
    Language: hrvatski
Summary: Distortion is a speech procedure emphasizing different parts of an utterance separated by pauses from their syntactical, logical unit. In J. Kaštelan's poetry distortion is also confirmed as a clear poetical procedure. In its speech performance it is similar to the enjambment, a procedure resulting out of a confrontation of the syntactical and the versification organization.
Keywords: Kaštelan, Jure; poetry, stylistics, distortion
