Summary: One is still bound to known structural forms and
implementingmostly known materials and known technology. It is possible
toimplement in contemporary design new information technology andadvances
from other technical fields, to save energy and materialresources and
implement new forms more suitable to some ofmaterial used. It is shown that
new advances in material use andtechnology implementation should be
reflected in new forms.Notably, the implementation of robotic and neural
networktechnology could change the established structural
forms.Implementing the computer to maintain the structural safety
andintegrity in ICIS may be sought, where computers are integralparts of
the whole structure as are other more common structuralparts.
Keywords: ICIC (Intelligent Computer Integrated Structures), expert system, neural network, VEI (Variable Energy Input), bridge, moving loads, active control, deflection.

Summary: This is the first case of stereophotogrammetric testing of
planedeformations in two orthogonal ways of plastified nonwoventextile
"trevira" fabric made by KONTEX factory fromKarlovac, presented in this
paper. Testig was done in theDepartment for Technical Mechanics of Civil
Engineering FacultyUniversity of Zagreb. Analytical photogrammetric testing
andgeodesic measurements were done by the Institute forPhotogrammetry
Geodetic Faculty University of Zagreb. The firstresults and the way how
testing was carried out, is shown. Theintention of this research is to
specify the deformations oftrevira fabric under the biaxial stress-strain
conditions fordifferent loading cases. This is the prerequisite for
applyingpneumatic structures as computer regulated structures.

Summary: The influence of moisture penetration at the angle
jointconnection of the GLULAM beam and column of a two-hingedframe using a
deltoidal angle fillet is analysed. Stressdistribution in cross sections of
the strucural elements aredetermined. A numerical simulation of moisture
penetration hasbeen carried out by gradual moisture increase in relevant
FE-s inthe matrix of time-dependent zones of the GLULAM frame.
Thecalculation was carried out using FEM and the ICES STRUDL 2system. The
intention was to see the consequences of suchpossible loading condition and
to evaluate the possibilities ofregulating such mistretmant of the
structure in question.

elements, using the probabilistic method, level II, the reliability ofthose
elements under construction conditions and in practical usehas been
evaluated. It is a so called calibration procedure, since the beams were
dimensioned by allowable stress theory incompiliance to now valid
regulations. The values of casual sizeof timber strength obtained by
statistical processing of testingresults made on samples of real timber
structures hs been made. For snow action various statistc data from chosen

Summary: Analysing a structural element, the simple beam,
dominantlyloaded by bending and applying the II level probabilistic
method, the reliability of this element in Yugoslav construction and

statistically processing results of test carried outon samples of timber

probabilistic investigations will form a data base of
semiprobabilisticprocedure, which is to be a model of future procedure for
theanalysis of wooden buiding structures.

Summary: Based on the statistical data on wind velocities at
twolocations (Zagreb, Slavonski Brod), as well as for the plannedduration
(5 and 30 years) of a representative structural elements- a timber purline,
"characteristic values" of wind loading havebeen determined applying two
probabilistic procedures: the first, using the average hour maximums of wind
velocities, with thedynamic turbulence factor included, and the second,
applying theauthor's original procedure which considers the maximum
windblows only. The carried out comparative analysis yields
goodcorrelations of the two variants and the deeper insight into windaction
when determining normativ loadings.

Summary: Devoleped is a system for automatic intelligent control of
deflection and internal forces in structural systems, based on the
implementation of a runtime version of a manualy trained three slabs neural
network. The principle is shown on a simulated regulation of bridge
deflection due to overpasing generated vechicles pasing with different
axelistances, speeds and frequencies. This principle could be applied to
other structural systems for deflection controls caused by different loads,
as are seismic, wind, running loads, etc. For the creation of a on samples
trained NN the Wards NeuroShell was used.
