Summary: Projection of a higher superspace to a lower one is
discussed inconnection with a light-cone gauge for induced
supergravitymodels. Projection of (p,q) q#0 models is compatible with
(0,1)supergravity model whose SL(2,R) current structure is describedand
renormalization of Kac-Moody charge is calculated.

Summary: We suggest a model of induced gravity in which the
fundamentalobject is a relativistic membrane minimally coupled to
abackground metric and to an external three-index potential.Low-energy
limit is computed for the two-loop effective action asa power expansion in
the surface tension. We find that thelarge-distance behaviour of the
classical fields is described bythe Einstein action with a cosmological
term plus a Maxwell-typeaction for the gauge potential. The Maxwell term
enables to applythe Hawking-Baum argument to show that the physical
cosmologicalconstant is "probably" zero.

Title: Lorentz anomaly in (1,0) supergravity
Pages: from 0 to 0
Language: engleski
Summary: We discuss interplay among supercoordinate, Weyl and
Lorentzanomalies both in chiral and non-chiral supergravity representedby
(1,0) and (1,1) two-dimensional models. We discuss in fullgenerality the
regularization ambiquities of the inducedeffective action and recover
corresponding general form ofanomalous Ward indentities. Finally, we
explain the differencebetween chiral and non-chiral supergravity models in
terms of theparameters and establish the relation between these two models
byprojecting (1,1) into (1,0) supersymmetry.

Summary: The most general treatment of all the anomalies for chiral
andmassless fermions is described. It is shown that for that purposetwo
regularization parameters are present in the effectiveaction. An analogy to
the Schwinger model is desplayedcorresponding to the specific choice of one
of the parameters. Ingeneral, it is shown that the gravitational model
containsanomaly relations having no analogy in the Schwinger model.

Summary: A relativistic string is usually represented by the
Nambu-Gotoaction in terms of the external area of two-dimensional
timlikesubmainfold of Minkowski space. Alternatively, a family ofclassical
solutions of the string can be globally described interms of the associated
geodesic field. We propose a new gaugetheory for the geodwsic field. It
solves the technical andconceptual problems affecting previous attempts to
describestrings in terms of local field variables. The connection
betweenthe geodesic field, the string current and the Kalb-Ramond
gaugepotential is clarified. A non-Abelian generalization of the modelis
discussed.

Summary: We study residual symmetry SL(2,R)xU(1) of the chiral
gravity inthe light-cone gauge. Quantum gravitational effects
renormalizethe SL(2,R) Kac-Moody central charge and induce, through
theLorentz anomaly, and arbitrary parameter. Due to the presence ofthis
free parameter the Kac-Moody centra charge has no forbiddenrange of values
and the strong gravity regime is opened forinvestigation.

Summary: We discuss a model of a conformal p-brane interacting with
the world volume metric and connection. The purpose of the model is to
suggest a mechanism by which gravity coupled to p-branes leads to the
formation of structure rather than homogenity in spacetime. The above
results apply to a broad class of nonlinear gravitational Lagragians as
long as metric and connection of the p-brane manifold are treated as
independent variables

Summary: We study induced gravity in light-cone gauge. Generalized
analysis of critical exponents is given and their relation to the SL(2,R)
vacuum states elucidated. All the parameters containing information about
the theory can be traced back to the characteristics of the grup of the
residual symmetry in the light-cone gauge.

Summary: We study chiral induced gravity in the light-cone gauge and
show the absence of the region of complex values of the renormalized
Kac-Moody central charge. In that respect the Lorentz degree of freedom,
and associated arbitrary parameter, play cruical role.
Keywords: induced chiral theory of gravity in the light-cone gauge, renormalized Kac-Moody central charge
