Title: Influence of filter and signal types in optical matched filtering

Authors:
Demoli, Nazif (87146)
Journal: Optics and Laser Technology
Number: 2
ISSN: 0030-3992
Volume: 26
Year: 1994
Pages: from 119 to 126
Number of references: 15
Language: engleski
Summary: The dependence of the output correlation signal on the filter parameters, filter types, and signal types in matched filtering is discussed. On the basis of the established filter criteria - the signal-to-noise ratio, peak-to-sidelobe ratio, and diffraction efficiency - a new measure is introduced giving an overall estimate of the feasibility of filters. According to that single measure, various filter types are compared and selected by numerical experiments.
Keywords: matched spatial filters, optical correlators

Title: A study of the line broadening constants obtained in a high pressure mercury lamp

Authors:
Skenderoviæ, Hrvoje (182004)
Vujnoviæ, Vladis (53655)
Journal: Journal of Quantitative Spectroscopy and Radiative Transfer
Volume: 0
Pages: from in to print
Number of references: 13
Language: engleski
Summary: Broadening constants for the Van der Waals, resonant and Stark broadenings of the mercury spectral lines 546.1 nm and 577.0 nm were determined by comparison of synthesized and observed profiles in mercury discharge. The plasma configuration was axially symmetric and side--on profiles were calculated by numerically solving the equation of radiative transfer. The normalized line profile of the absorption coefficient was convolved of Lorentz and Van der Waals profiles and LTE was assumed. The observed red shift of the minimum of self-reversed line 546.1 nm was explained by actions of neutral atoms. Semiclassical expression for the Van der Waals and resonant broadening constants leads to the values not far from the observed ones.
Keywords: spectroscopy,line broadening,mercury,discharge

Title: Classical vibration probabilities in collinear collision

Authors:
Skenderoviæ, Hrvoje (182004)
Bosanac, Slobodan D. (4730)
Journal: Journal of Molecular Structure (Theochem)
Volume: 341
Year: 1995
Pages: from 41 to 52
Number of references: 43
Language: engleski
Summary: Classical theory of collisions is formulated which also includes uncertainty principle. The theory is used for the calculation of transition probabilities in the collinear He - H2 collision, and the results are compared with quantum calculations. Very good agreement is found for all the parameters investigated.
