Summary: Decay of single-K-shell-vacancy states of xenon atoms by
theemission of photon pairs that continuosly share the transitionenergy was
studied. The vacancy states were generated byelectron-capture decay in
113Cs. A pair of high-purity germaniumdetectors and fast-slow coincidence
system with a (128x512x512) -chanel pulse-height analyzer were used in the
measurements.Accurate energy calibration was made by careful determination
ofpositions of peaks due to crosstalk among the detectors via Ge Kx rays.
Identification of events in the ridges, the relativedifferential
probabilities of 2s-1s, 3s-1s, 3d-1s, and 4sd-1stwo-photon decay were
derived. As expected, no events due to thenp-1s two-photon transitions were
observed and upper limits aregiven.
Keywords: two-photon inner shell transitions; transitions probability.

Summary: The ecological need to sum up the work of the water
research and to estimate the future water quality trends bz observing the
relevant parameters as influential ecological factors for the helth of the
population resulted in relation data base VODE. It integrates the data
group of waters data and from the ecological standpoint is suitable for the
several years study of trends of existing water supply system condition
with special survey of the results of the water quality analyses in view of
the recognition of the actual pollutins that are significant for the health
problems of population group and individuals. One gets informations by
putting questions and than plans necessary interventions, what is the
significant contribution in the approach to the analytical and monitoring
techniques, i.e. application of informatical techniques in water pollution
control.
Keywords: Ecological Database, water pollution, monitoring techniques.

Summary: The first beam-test results for two- and three-bundle
shashlik tower prototypes are described. We found that the spatial
resolution, the uniformity of energy response, the calorimeter reliability
and hermeticity and also two showers separation are improved in
multi-bundle design approach.
Keywords: Shashlik calorimeter, multi-bundle design, LHC, CMS detector, beam-test, spatial resolution, WLS fibre effect, recovery of dead channel.
