Summary: Chemical and enzymatic synteses and/or transformation of natural antibiotics employing known and new reactions as well as computers. Isolation, purification and determination of structure, configuration and conformation of prepared compounds, their examination on biological activity, toxicological and other pharmacological properties. Studying relationship between structure and biological activity.

Research goals: The task of research is discovery of new biological active (first of all antibiotics) supstances, primary from the series of macrolides and beta-lactams but and the other compounds as well, which will be used as a base for further applied and development research to obtain a new drugs. New active supstances and/or their sinergists as well as new methods and reagents for their preparation will be patented and allow pharmaceutical and chemical industry to produce and promote a new drugs on the world market.
