Summary: Mercury (II) ions catalyze the reaction of
sodiumaquopentacyanoferrate(II) with bidentate oximes and inhibit itwith
monodentate oximes. UV light increases the reaction rate ofcomplex

Summary: Pyridine-4-aldoxime reacts with the
aquopentacyanoferrate(II) ionby forming a complex compound of 1:1 molar
ratio. The pKa valueof the oxime group in the complex, the influence of pH
changes onits formation as well as IR data indicate the coordination
ofpyridine-4-aldoxime through the pyridine nitrogen.
