    Summary: For various polynitroadamantanes, potential high-energetic compounds, heats of formation, crystal densities, velocities and detonation pressures were calculated, using hydrodinamic theory of detonation. These data were compared with experimental ones for known high explosives. The composition of detonation products was also calculated as well as other detonation parameters. The relationship between structure, density, and enthalpy of formation, and their influence on detonation performances were discussed. Syntheses of new polynitroadamantane compounds with optimum detonation properties were suggested.

    Summary: Adamantyl analog of phencyclidine /1-2(phenyl-2-adamantyl)piperidine/ (Ad-PCP) have been tested in gamma-irradiated cultured cells and mice. This compound showed reduced toxicity and increased radioprotection than phencyclidine itself.
