Summary: The first approximation of the emission role of the pedosphere inthe status and eutrofication of the Plitvice Lakes is presentedin this papers through intermediate indicators of soil propertis(organic matter, active acidity, nitrogen and solublephosphorus). The geological, genetic-pedological, vegetational, relief and stand contrastness of forest ecosyistems have beenencompassed by a net of pedological observation; eighteen modalbasic stand units have been established and eight of them havemajor hydrological and general economical importance.
    Keywords: soil, tessera, indicator C/N/P2O5

    Held: from 04/11/91 to 04/12/91
Summary: In the Plitvice National Park comparative research was carriedout on the status and change of the forest ecosystem soil thathas occasionaly supported parked cars. The research encompassedthe following parameters: soil reaction, nitrogen regime, thecontents of biogene elements and the concentration of heavymetals in the sediment and lysimetric water.
Keywords: soil, aeropolution, heavy metals, lysimetric measurements

Title: A Contribution to the Knowledge of Soil in Calamintho-Abieti-Fagetum Community in Croatia

Meeting: Zemljište kao prirodni resurs i faktor razvoja
    Held: from 04/11/91 to 04/12/91
Summary: The statistical data of some properties of the main soil types inthe investigated community show a wide range of active soilreaction (low to high acid) and convergent humus evolution. Comparing the soil conditions (pH, content of C, C/N and Amohorizon depth) in the preserved, unmanaged forest (average volumeof wood 549 m3/ha) and in the stand which is very close (V = 326m3/ha and G = 33 m2/ha) to a hypothetical normal forest of amiddle site class, no statistically significant difference wasdetermined in an aproximate 20 year period.
Keywords: soil, community of beech-fir forest (Calamintho-Abieti-Fagetum), pH, humus

Proceedings title: 40 godina Nacionalnog parka Risnjak 1953.1993.
    Language: hrvatski
    Place: Crni Lug, Hrvatska
    Year: 1994

    Pages: from 131 to 136
Meeting: 40 godina Nacionalnog parka Risnjak
Summary: The shown results of pedological researches and short comments with the pedological map make possible to see the pedological conditions in the N.P. "Risnjak", and in this connection we give hereunder the following essential characteristics of the researched area: 1. In the N.P. "Risnjak", the full series of soils on limestones and dolomites: black earth-soil (melanosols), brown soils (calcocambisols), illimerized soils (luvisols), and on softer, clastic limestones and dolomites, clayey and chrystalline (sandy) - rendzinas as the primary stages of the pedogenetic development have been determined. 2. On silicate substrates (sandstones, sandy clays and conglomerates), the acid brown soils (districal cambisols) and brown podsolic soils (brunipodsols) have been determined. 3. On both groups of substrates, colluvial soils have been determined sporadically, and on limestones and dolomites also rocky grounds (lithosols). 4. Under the influence of a very developed relief and the variety of vegetation, in addition to the main types of soils, many subtypes, variations and forms of soils have been determined that is reflected in 17 cartographical units shown on the pedological map. 5. As for their physiographical characters, it is to be emphasized that these soils are markedly deficient in physiologically active phosphorus, and very rarely in potassium. Other parameters of the physiochemical properties have no limiting character in the edaphic effect. 6. The main limiting factor of the edaphic effect of these soils is the shallowness of profiles. This refers in particular to rocky grounds, colluvial soils, black earth-soil, rendzinas and brown soils on limestones and dolomites. 2

Title: Some pedological and geochemical properties of N.P. Mljet

    Proceedings title: (U tisku u zborniku HAZU-a)
    Language: hrvatski
Meeting: Prirodne značajke i društvena valorizacija otoka Mljeta
    Held: from 09/04/95 to 09/10/95
Summary: 1. On the limestones and dolomites and theirs ...... the genetic-evolution soil series is developed: litosol - melanosol - kalcikambisol - terra rossa, and on the sandy dolomites and marly limestones rendzina too. The dominant soil types are melanosol and rendzina, that is shallow soils with A-C and A-R profil, whereas on the flat surfaces there are various anthropogenic soils. 2. In connection with mentioned variability of soil formation factors, a large number of soil taxon and soil combination (soil map units) with average to large ecological contrast is established, except the anthropogenic soil map units. 3. The contents of elements which were analyzed in the soils of N. P. "Mljet" correspondences good with other areas of this climate. From the geochemical viewpoint they are similar to average values, what is very good illustrated with normalization on iron and with calculated geoaccumulation coefficient. 4. This results indicate that there were no signifficant breakdowns of natural geochemical enviroment. Neverless, the local content increasing of some elements, especially copper, phosphorus and partially zinc, which are visible by distribution from the geochemical maps of some elements, in the agricultural areas idicate to the increased input of relevant elements in the soil.
