Summary: GIS technology was used in pilot project for classification
ofCroatian forests for the seed husbandry purposes. The map sectionPakrac
(scale 1:10000) was digitalized in layers: soil types,plant communities,
geology, eco-management types, roads andstreams. For every layer 20
features (numeric and attributive)were established in data base. GIS
analyses give us new layers(forest site, soil acidity per plant community
etc.) useful inforest classifications for different purposes.

Summary: Tectonic features of the western part of Yugoslavia have

Summary: The paper reviews the main feautures of Geographic
Information Systems (GIS). There are two fundamental approaches to the
representation of the spatial component of geographic information : the
vector model and the raster model. The raster model, a raster structured
geometry, is described in detail. The comparasion of vectorial GIS (vector
structured geometry) and raster oriented GIS, as well as its advantages and
disadvantages is also presented. Digital images and digital image
processing, as one of the most important sources of information for raster
GIS are described.

Summary: In co-operation with Zagreb Police Authorities and
INA-INFO, the GPS technology has been applied for positioning of the
vehicles in Holly Father's escort. The receriver determines it's position,
hight and velocity on any part of the Earth's surface by receiving of the
signals emitted from the satellite from the Earth's orbit. The surveillance
centre receives, through radio connection, the data from the receiver so
it's position can be displayed dynamically on the screen.
