Summary: To prevent corrosion effects of sulphur trioxide below the dew point temperature, an ammonia-air mixture is efficient, instantly neutralizing sulphurous acid components. The import of the mixture into flue gases was executed on temperatutes below 623 K. Contents of sulphur trioxide, dew point and mass loss of inserted ferrous plates were observed and sulphuric acid was determined in waste water being used for air-heater rinsing. By applying ammonia in a certain concentration the dew point is significantly lower while corrosion prevention certainly is higher, thus the temperature of outgoing gases may be lower leading to increase defficiency of boiler plant.

In present study comparison of fossil fuelled and solarized recirculative drying process is provided. When using the same collector area, a fuel requirement during the winter season will be approximately 85% and in transition period 38% . Solarized recirculative process has the capability to achive yearly fuel saving of about 47%, using the collector area for the highest intensity season.

Summary: The recovery of waste heat contained in flue gases and process condensate in polymeization of ethylene (LDPE) is shown. The process condensate heat recovery results in the boiler feed water increasing what reduces the fuel consumption and also protect boiler from strains due to local contraction. The calculation shows that air preheating saves 88tCE, and condensate recovery about 246tCE.
