Summary: Audio signal processing in radiocommunications covers
research offunctionality of Croatian broadcast system. Introducing of
moderntechnology in order to achieve optimal sound quality.Multichannel and
stereo systems, analog, digital and hybrid, areincluded.
Keywords: signal processing, audiosignal, electroacoustic, analog, digital
Research goals: Puposes of research on this project are making
theoretical and experimental analysis of audio frequency sources (such as
music and speech) and determinating of recording and transmitting quality
defining parameters (for radio broadcast, television, conference, etc.).
The influence of room acoustics on recording and transmitting quality is
observed. Some measurements are defined and measured by the needs of the
professional acoustic areas. Evalutaing those measurements, minimal
acoustic requirements are requested. In the world radio communications
digital systems are more and more used. Therefore, new objective
measurement methods for estimating of the quality and economicness of
components and equipment has to be developed. All this is needed for final
decisions in choosing new equipment and defining the best possible uses of
existing equipment in Radio and TV Broadcast Network in the Republic of
Croatia. Other information about the project.
