Summary: A three year research project is proposed. It continues
investigations in piezoceramic ultrasonic transducer parameters. The
project includes design and modification of methodological
instrumentation, which is neccessary for the scientific work in the field
of ultrasound.Different models and methods, relevant for the development
and design of ultrasonic transducers have been investigated. They will be
the basis for the design of a new generation of ultrasonic equipment. The
intention of the project is to diminish the lag and ensure the
continuity of further development of ultrasonic tehnologies in the
Republic of Croatia.
Research goals: The research performed up to now in Brodarski
Institute gives a solid, basis which combined with research
experience, knowledge and equipment, enables a continuation in the research
of new generations of ultrasonic sensors. The project aims are
1)research in the field of piezoceramic and piezopolymer transducers in
air,as the beginning of the development of noncontact sensors for robotics
2)investigations in acoustical array
elements for ultrasonic medical diagnostics
3)investigations in optimal NDT probe design for
metal,plastic and composite materials testing
4)investigations in sandwich transducers for sonar systems
5)development of measurement methods and procedures for the comparisons of
theoretical and practical results. Specific contribution to
science and technology will be achieved by a doctoral thesis,a master"s
thesis and papers, published or presented at scientific symposia.
