    Summary: Although developed for saving the large number of lines thatoccur in the construction of biplanes, the algorithm described inthis article has a general significance. The algorithm takes anyset of ordered elements and converts it into an array of symbolsbased on a number base with a factorial base. This array is thenpartitioned and saved as one or more numbers. In this way asaving of more than 50% can be achieved.

    Summary: The construction of the symmetric block design (v,k,l) with larger parameters (k>9) is a huge computational problem. This article describes one method which improves the computational task of the construction in regard to the computer memory and time requirements. This method has been described for the construction of the (71,21,6) block design on which operates the Frobenius group of order 21.

    Summary: The austenitization is the procedure of the heat treatment which usually procedes other procedures like hardening, anneiling etc. In order to make the procedure successful it is necessary to set the following parameters: the austenitizing temperature, the regulations of heating up to austenitizing temperature, the austenitizing time. The setting of these parameters is worth for the conventional heating (in the assumption that the chamber furnace or salt bath are on constant temperature). The user friendly program written in the programming language Matlab is used to setting the austenitization time by the means of three methods: Ordinanz, Smoljnikov and Newton. It is used in laboratory practices in the subjects of the Heat treatment.

    Summary: Under the project "The Computational Mathematics in the technical environment" the computer program for teaching and studying classical and modern control theory has been developed. The program is written in MATLAB programming language. For its use it is not necessary to have previous knowledge and experience in the programming. Tested on the group of 28 senior students from our Faculty it turned out to be an extraordinary educational tool.
