Summary: Multichannel systems for mechanical quantities measurements
like torque and axial force on the rotating shaft, fuel ect.
consumption. Wireless energy transmission for contactless measurements.
Development of intelligent transducers. Force transducers. Force
transducer based on IR radiation. Contactless measurement and signal
processing of mechanical vibrations. Multichannel measurement and data
aquisition of stress in the dams, ship hull, plating and other quantities
in the field of ship building and construction. Measuring system for
characteristic data acquisiton for ship control (CAN protocol).
Research goals: The aim of this project is to realize measurement of
basic quantities in the ship propulsion system. The main quantities are:
torque, trust, RPM (revolution per minute) and fuel consumption. It has to
be found optimal contactless energy transmission with highest efficiency
for power supplying of electronic measuring devices on the rotating shaft.
Also the optimal type of modulation in regard of data transmission and
possibility of suppression RF noise occurred by RF energy transmission
should be investigated. The infrared transmission possibility should be
considered as well. A multichannel system for stress measurements on
bridges and dams has to be developed. A research and development of the
force and displacement transducers for vibration measurements and other
applications will be considered. The optimal protocol for data acquisition
relevant for ship control has to be chosen.
