Summary: Mathematical models and corresponding software routines for
the analysis and simulation of metal forming processes have been developed
in the project. The finite element method in the flow formulation for
nonlinear viscoplastic constitutive models is used.
Keywords: modelling, simulation, optimization, metal forming
Research goals: The product quality usually depends on various
factors which have influence during Metal Forming Processes. Important
parameters should be recognized and analysed for each Metal Forming
process itself. They make the base for mathematical modelling of Metal
forming processes. The main goal of this Project is to develop
mathematical models and corresponding software routines for computer
analysis and simulation major Metal forming processes (Extrusion and
Rolling). The finite element method in flow formulation for nonlinear
constitutive models is used. Results of such analysis and simulation will
be verified in laboratory and on real processes in the plants. This
procedure allows to make optimization of the Metal forming process and
results could be useful both from theoretical and industrial aspects.
