Summary: Hull form optimizations are done in order to develop modern
and perspective ships which are of economical interested at home and
abroad. In the scope of the project through theoretical and experimental
investigations the following perspective ships were optimized: 1. Full,
large and shallow draught ships (two series were developed) a)
Series "JELSA" (L/B=3.75 - 7.25 ; B/T=3.0 - 5.0 ; CB=0.835) b) Series
"BERTA" (L/B=4.21 - 6.21 ; B/T=3.4=const ; CB=0.65 - 0.8) 2. High speed
small vessels 3. Offshore fishing ships
Keywords: ship model, resistance, running trim, chine, bulb, self-propulsion, open water test, correlation, propulsion components, trawl, high speed vessel, roll, sea worthiness, power, cavitation, manoeuvrability, wake
Research goals: The aim of the research is to defined the optimum
hull form for the different types of ship and to develop the method for
ship speed prediction, detemination of propulsion components and wake
distribution, evaluation of form quality and influence of ship geometrical
characteristcs upon hydrodynamic performances. The results shall be given
through systematic diagrams and regression equations.
