Summary: Theoretical and experimental investigation of high speed
catamarans suitable for Adriatic sea based on optimization of hull form,
tunnel width, foil geometry and position and different combinations of foil
combination. Propulsive system analyses and optimization. Ship structure
ivestigation and analyses of ship structure influence upon hydrodynamic
loads in service conditions. Multicriterial evaluation of the acchieved
solutions.
Research goals: Transport quality improvement and transport
efficiency increment on the Adriatic sea by operation of advanced
catamarans optimized for Adriatic sea through: determination of operational
requirements, hydrodynamic optimization, power-propulsion systems
selsection, ship structure analyses and comparison with other advanced
solutions of similar ship. By acchieving all these aims the knowledge about
advanced crafts shall be improved and optimal catamaran suitable for
Adriatic sea defined. Other information about the project.
