Summary: Studying the motorway as a factor of traffic safety.
Finding a model which can increase the road safety by installing standard
visual appliance and non standard visual appliances. Taking pictures
with photocameras or with TV cameras of dangerous spots from various
distances by changing the focus of the lens and then comparing it with
the diagram of the collision points, as well as with computer simulation
and photomontage: it is possible to determine the causes of traffic
accidents. It enables us thereafter to find out solutions by installing
standards and non standard visual appliances.
Research goals: The purpose of this study is to determine the
methods which can influence the behavior of the driver on the motorway and
it's surroundings. It is not meant to alter the road by reconstructing
it, if needed, but only to install adequate standard and non standards
visual appliances in order to inform in time of the dangers ahead. The
goal of this study is to give a scientific contribution to the problems of
road safety. It is expected that the accidents caused by the inadequacy of
the motorways will be halved by using our recommendations. It is also
expected that the number of accidents in relations to the number of
vehicles will diminish by 30%. We expect that this study will prove to be
a substantial contribution to the diminution of the number of
casualities, woundings and fatalities, as well as material damage. We
expects also to learn from the drivers and their own experiences, after
the appliances are put in place.
