Summary: In the construction industry, measuring the productivity
oflabour is a complex and long term process due to its heterogeneus
production. Since there is no generally adopted methodology forthe
comparison of the gathered results on productivity, the valueform of
productivity measurement, only an indicator of the stateand trends is used.
The authors have, therefore, applied experimentally, on a site, the
methodology for measuring the productivity of only the carpenter group,
which should serve as abasis for further extensive scientific research
projects.

number of information, the process of decision making becomes very complex.

increased, causing the rise of uncertainty and the risk of wrong decisions.

Summary: Approach to production management and decision making on
the basis of historic data database will be in this paper presented.
The method of creating and maintenance of data base that consists the data
collected in work study at the building sites will be discussed. The
database will be presented is created to be applied for statistics analyses
and neural networks usage in the way to find out measure the factors a
rational organisation and technology of production, minimising the costs,

Summary: The new housing policy aims to introduce market
relationships into housing sector and to activate economically as fast as
possible the past investments in housing. The buying up of state-owned
flats is one of the principal measures of the reform and, due to the market
orientation, it calls for a study of the buyers behaviour and the demand
forecast. The paper presents the results of a pool on the opinions of the
users of state-owned flats about flat buying-up. The carried out study
uncovered a very strong interest of flats users to purchase their flats, so
the accumulation of significant means can be expected for faster
revitalization of housing development.
