Summary: Land consolidation in Croatia has been carried out with
differentdegrees of intensity since 1902, when the Croatian
Parliamentbrought the new improved law of land consolidation. The
initialtask wos to reduce large properties to fewer number of
parcels.However, considering the needs for intensified urbanization
ofcities and villages, land consolidation is gradually becomingmeans for
achieving a perfect arrangement of the environment. Inorder to carry out
the land consolidation as rationally aspossible, tehnologies suitable for
an automated procedure shouldbe investigated. Particularly significant
directions. Renewal andmodernization of real estate records are
indispensable for therealization of this plan.

Summary: The land appraisal system for the determination of
landcapability classes is based on the rating system with an aim toanalyses
natural conditions of the production (soil, climate,relief and other
natural conditions). In Croatia the soil mappinghas been finished at the
scale of 1:50000. For the operativeprojects on the agriculture farms it is
necessary to work out thedetailed soil maps with soil and land capability
classes at thescale of 1:5000 to 10000. At the same time it is necessary
toelaborate to soil conservation programmes include intensive andrational
increase of plant and livestock production.

Summary: The paper presents the data of numerical elaboration of the
soilmapping units on the soil productivity map of Croatia at thescale of
1:300000. This method of elaboration enables more clearascertainment of the
praticipation of the soil mapping units andthe analysis of some important

Summary: Photogrammetric data have been used in our land
consolidationpraxis for many years now. The reserachers carried out at
theFaculty of Geodesy within the scope of the scientific project"Land
Consolidation under New Circumstances" are partly directedtowards the
rationalization of the works in the phase of landconsolidation project by
using the orthophotomap. For a part ofconsolidation large area of
Hrastelnica the photogrammetriccoordinates of boundary points for the
existing objects have beendetermined by menes of orthophotomap, with their
position beingchecked at the field, and the bank of data has been
establishedfor further automatic processing. The tangential
intersectioncoordinates of the projected objects have also
beenphotogrammetrically defined for the purpose of estimating therest of
the land consolidation basis. The setting out of the newsituation with
regard to the ownership, to the new road andchannel network can thus be
accomplished at once, after thedistribution of new land properties.

Summary: The land consolidation activity in the Republic of Croatia
hasgot an opportunity to be extended and intensified as theconsequence of
the change in proprietary relations, abollition ofthe land maximum limit,
denationalization of the land and ofother poistive measures. The so far
