    Language: engleski
Summary: The corrosion of steel in soils is a permanent problem. The most significant factors that influence it are the grain size distribution, the ground water composition, the pH-value and the electrical conductivity of a soil. This paper describes the effect of some clays, the alkaline-activated bentonite and peat on the corrosion of steel. It is shown that the determination of electrical conductivity and pH-value in soil suspensions can be used for the prediction of soil corrosion. Corrosion in soil samples was determined by the mass loss, which confirmed the results of previous tests.

Summary: The geotechnical researches of some sections of the Zagreb - Varaždin - Goričan highway have offered an excellent and not very often opportunity for studing the space relations of cohesion and angle of shearing resistance in the ground, by the metode of variography (the analysis with the variogram). The results of the research have proven that reliable kriging models of the parameters along the highway may be obtained by applying the technique of panels and blocks. The models should be developed for the preliminary and main design. Further research if any would be based on such models.

    Held: from 06/20/94 to 06/23/94
Summary: In mining very often small deposits are exploited and that is the reason to study and suggest the procedure of the estimation and production planning of just such small deposits, where the number of drillholes is relatively few, thus there is an insufficient number of input data to make a good estimation of the thickness of the layer and ore content. Therefore, it is better to have a greater number of intervals (samples) in drillholes (short length) and in irregular through shaped deposits in slices (not in levels).

Summary: The dissertation deals with adjustment of surveyor network bymeans of analog and digital techniques. In this case analogtechnique is the application of electrical analogy, i.e. thetransformation of surveyor networks into electrical ones. Digitaltechnique is bassically application of computers. TheHewlett-Packard pocket computers have been use here. To carry outcomputer adjustment asymmetrical error equations are developedand then originally transformed into symmetrical ones, which canbe solved in the same way as standard normal equations by meansof Gaussion elimination.
Keywords: Surveyor network, Analog and digital techniques, electrical analogy, Symmetrical equations, Gaussian elimination.

Summary: The functional dependency between longitudinal wave velocitiesindicating rock hardness and some drilling-and -blastingparameters, such as explosive quantities per ignition degree withregard to the allowed rodk/soil oscillation velocity, shearstrength parameters, burden lines based on burden linearincrease. In addition, the thesis contains a comparative analysisof allowed explosive quantities at blasting based on worldsstandards for maximal soil oscilation velocities.
Keywords: Shallow Refraction Seismic, Slope stability, Allowed quantities of explosive, P and S waves, Shear strength parameters, Allowed soil oscillation velocities.

Summary: The present Internet resources are described. Special attentionis given to the electronic mail system with lists, interestgroups, forums, etc., as well as to the availability of archiveddocuments. There are many addresses and examples from geotechnicsand related scientific field. One chapter is devoted to the netethics. Expectations on the development of internationalscientific cooperation by means of Internet are described and thepresent problems are explained.
