Summary: In patients with apneic crises during sleep biochemical and hormonal examinations will be done. We try to prove the presens of endocrinological disturbances as an additive fact in respiratory disorders. We also want to follow circardial secretion of hypophiseal hormons and secretion of melatonin and serotonin which are supposed to have regulatory role. Otorinolaringological examination, CT and NMR of naso, oro and hypopharynx will be done that obstrution in the upper respiratory tract could be recognized. If necessary operation will be recomended. Diagnosis of obstructive apnea syndrome (OSA) will be done by using of polysomnographic test throught which other vital parametres will be followed, such as blood pressure, ECG,pO2, pCO2 and respiration.Beside surgical correction of respiratory tract, other terapheutical meassures will be used like: reduction of the body weight, using of stimulator of respiration, and continuously use of oxygen by nasal sonda.

Research goals: Goals of proposed examination are: A)to widen pathophysiological knowings about disturbunces of sleep-waking cycle. B) exploration of new more sensible diagnostic methods of opstructive disorders of the upper respiratory tract. Localization of respiratory disturbances (central and pheripheral typ) will also be explored. C) developement of new treatment methods of obese people with sleep apnea crises.
