Summary: State of the art of the standards in the field in european or COST countries, scientific background for common european standard in the field of hazardous effects of electromagnetic fields, coordination of the research activities in COST countries, common protocol for european epidemiologic research, identification of most sensitive parametars in field of in vitro research, possibilities of the scanning of the research results on vertical line of the in vitro experiments, experimental animals and human beings, general problem of a measurement field density in the near zone, frequency broadband and power broadband, dosimetry, simulation of the effects on as precise as possible phantoms, numerical methods applications. Dosimetry, near field EMF measurements. Extremly high power electromagnetic field measurements.

Keywords: standardization, biological effects, numerical methods, near zone measurement, electromagnetic compatibilities, biological material characterisation, resonant effects, measurement methods, dosimetry, in vitro experiments, scanning of the results

Research goals: According to the research in the european countries coordinationof the research should be resulted with global insight in theproblem and complementary research programme. Global research aims should be: - common European standard in the field of EMF protection - common European standard in the field of technical characteristics of the EMF sources - common data base - common protocols for epidemiological studies (occupationally exposed persons, general population) - continues monitoring of occupationally persons especially long term long power exposition - further acceleration of the research in the field of personal dosimeters and near field measuring methods . Expected results should be in a better understanding ofbiological effects with the electromagnetic fields which could becontrolled by epidemiological research, in vitro experiments, experimental animal studies and by controlled electromagneticenviromental with scientifical instrumentation in wholeelectromagnetic spectrum.
