Diffusly dysrhythmic changes with focus were found in 8.3%, while paroxismaly dysrhythmic with focus were found in 1%. Slow wawe activity was found in 34.4%, and irritative focal activity in 7%. 57 subjects underwent neuropsychological examination, which have shown cognitive deterioration in 8.8%. The high correlation was found between diffuse EEG changes and the lenght of imprisonment (p<0.005).

In a sub-group of 26 who had lost consciousness from the blows at least once, in 17 of them psychological testing indicated the possibility of organic changes. PTSD were found in 19, and the impaired mental concentration in 24.Other forms of physical maltreatment also effected changes in the EEG.
