Summary: The investigation comprised patiens of a periodontal and orthodontic surgery in whom surgical therapy was indicated. In all patiens clinical conditions of periodontal tissues were registered, the Gingival index and the Electric Potential measured. The excised samples were prepared for histologiocal analysis and stained with Toluidine blue and Alcian blue technique in order to identify mast cells. The results show that, in the case of Gingival Index 1-2, in most cases (80%) there is an increased Electric Potential in comparison with the normal state which is characterized for all (100%) clinically normal gingiva (Gingival Index 0). Contrary to this, in gingiva with stronger inflammatory changes and gingival index 3 there is a decrease in the Electric Potential value as compared to the normal state. The analysis of the number of mast cells in square mm of the tissue points to the difference in their presence depending on the degree of inflammation. In the case of Gingival Index 1-2 and increased Electric Potential there are significant cellular infiltrates, while the mean value of mast cells (Toluidine: 56.47 +/- 16.9; Alcian: 107.05 +/-42.09) is statistically significantly higher (p<0.01) than the mean value of these cells (Toluidine: 17.64 +/-13.1; Alcian: 37.64 +/-29.29) in gingiva with Gingival Index 3. According to the results it can be concluded that the rise of the number of mast cells is followed by the rise of inflammation to Gingival Index 2 and increased Electric Potential and, after that, the number of these cells falls as the degree of clinical changes becomes more serious and Electric Potential lower.

Summary: There are many factors which influence on the accuracy of the root canal measurement. Investigations of the concentration of metal ions at human pulps showed that accuracy of measurement is in correlation to the concentration of some ions.Previously known influence of the foramen diameter was put, in our investigation, in the correlation to the ion concentration. Experimental model consisted of 21 extracted human tooth divided in three groups with 7 teeth in each group. Aquous solutions of determined concentrations of Na+, K+, Ca++ and Mg++ corresponded to findings on human pulps, and were mixed with agar. Agar was injected into the root canal, and whole tooth was put into agar with same or different ion concentration. In each experimental group, elastic root canal measurement was performed at all teeth with foramen diameter of 0.25, 0.45 and 0.70 mm. The results showed that there was statistically significant difference in accuracy between groups in correlation to the ion concentration and foramen diameter.

Summary: In our previous works we noticed that concentration of ions inside and outside the canal influence on the accuracy of electric root canal measurement. When that concentrations were different and diameter of the foramen was width (0.70mm), at the concentration space take rise diffusion potentials which influence on the result of measurement. Eksperimental model consisted of 21 human extracted tooth which were divided in three groups with 7 teeth. In two experimental groups concentration of solutions were different inside the canal, we squeezad measurement probe into agar inside the canal till the position of pointer and the measuring scale was one degree less than the best value. The tip of the probe was, at that moment, in vicinity with root apex. When we squeezed the probe further more into agar until the best value was seen in the measuring scale, the tip of the probe was deeply in agar outside the canal. The distance between first and second point we called inside and outside border of the diffusion potential. In the control group we could't mention described phenomenon. These differences were statistically significant. Therefore we concluded that when the foramen diameter is 0.70 mm during location of the canal orifice before extirpation of the pulp, we must reduce test value for one degree in the our device.

Summary: The author in her disertation work examined efficiency of two remedia for pulpotomy on the experimental model of rat's pulp. Experimental model consisted of 23 animals-albino rats "y" sort divided in relation to during time into three groups. In each animal Ca(OH)2 and formocresol pulpotomy was performed. Analogous tooth in opposite jaw served as a control. At first experimental group investigationlast 3-5 days, in second 21-30 days and in the third 90 (+10,-10) days because expored teeth pulps were exposed to the oral microflora at different long periods. Degree of injury was tested by bioelectrical potential, histological and microbiological analysis of samples. The author improved that booth agents are equally efficient on the healthy pulps. Typical reaction on pathologically involved pulps was changed and was in correlation to the alterations of bioelectrical properties of pulp tissue which was verified by measurement of bioelectric potential.
