Summary: The most valuable anatomic part of hunting dogs is their sense ofsmell. The greatest research interest is directed towards thesense of smell in order to arrive at indicators that could helpthe "correct" development of hunting dogs and this increase theirhunting usefulness. In order to attain this research objective, asearch was begun for parameters that could serve for theclassification of the degrees of physiological sensitivity of theorgan of smell. The research will be carried out in the ecological and workingmilieu of hunting dogs, i.e. on the hunting grounds.

Summary: The significance which hunting cynology has in hunting management stimulates scientific researches on zoological properties of hunting dogs, first of all, studyng physiological properties of their senses, especially sense of smell, sight, taste, touch, and sense of balance. Such investigations found out new knowledge, which have not only theoretical but practical stimulus. For those reasons they are showed here.

Summary: Hunting dogs according to broader zoology-physiological systematization belong to a group of homothermic animals i.e. beimgs with permanent body temperature. Certain members of hunting game belong to the group of poikilothermic animals i.e. benigs with unstable body temperature which depends on animal living places and calendar period. This work shows reaction of hunting dogs ( hounds ) sense of smell on blood traces of poikilothermic bengs and their potential success in such game group hunting.

Proceedings title: The I. international syposium on "Scientific studies of hunting cynology"
    Language: hrvatski
    Place: Osijek
    Year: 1992
    Pages: from 3 to 5
Meeting: The I. international symposium on "Scientific studies of hunting cynology"
    Held: from 12/03/92 to 12/05/92
Summary: Hunting trade tries to incorporate all biological participants inhunting. Along with the game the hounds play extremly importantrole in the whole hunting business. The degree of theirefficiency depends on physiological functioning of theirsmell-sense. In our work (paper) we have tried to investigate thedegree of physiological sensivity of this sense, because thewhole hunting trade succes depends on its physiological features(finding of wounded game, hair, feathery ect.).
Keywords: Physiological properties sannce of smell, hunting dogs, biological substrate, trace, blood, plant bait.

    Title: Dogs feeding
Faculty: Poljoprivredni fakultet Josipa Jurja Strossmayera
    Date of defense: 11/03/93
    Language: hrvatski
    Number of pages: 65
Summary: Specific canine digestion in the modern way of feeding dictatessome knowledges abaut real needs of the dog, connected with someexternal and internal factors. There are two basic ways offeeding - traditional and with industrial food. Missing of someimportant elements in any ways of feeding result with sicknessesand atipical physiological states. The practical researchesthrough the experiments give prominence to the right way ofdetermining real needs of the animal in all biochemical elements, without regard to traditional or industrial food. Avoiding allpossible anomalities in feeding, we eliminate bad and unandequatfeed as cause of sicknesses, poure work and general bad state ofthe animal.
Keywords: Faunivora, traditional meat, nutrients, animal and plant food, bitch in pup, lactation.
