Summary: A linear-array ultrasound electronic scanner with a
transrectal 5MHz transducer was used for early pregnancy diagnosing in
thecows pregnant between 18 and 58 days. More than 100 pregnant cowswere
examined, and 73 printed pictures were made by usingelectronic printer
(Mitsubichi, video-copy, AP 8600). Thepictures were separately studied and
the results analysed. Fromthe 24th day of pregnancy we were able to detect
fetal water, andabout 28th day it was possible to find orderly fetal water
(blackcolor) membranes and embryo (white color). Our results indiagnosing
were 98.4% occurate, which is in agreement with therusults of Reeves and
ass. (l984), Pierson and Ginther (l984) andKahn (1985).

Summary: Investigations on the efficiency of the superovulation and
superovulatory response and the number of recovered embryos and also the
transfer results of fresh and cryopreservated/thawed bovine embryos were
performed on 35 females. Superovualtion was induced using PMSG (Folligon)
or FSH (Folltropin) preparations in 27 females. The results of the
superovulation and superovulatory response on the day 7 after induced
ovulation and A.I. were followed up by rectal and ultrasonographic
examination of the ovaries (Aloha Echo Camera SSD-210, DX II with 5 MHz
transrectal transducer) and 154 (X=5,70 + 0,69) corpora lutea were
established. In 23 females a total of 15 embryos were received and 10
embryos were classified as transferable and then one embryo was instantly
transferred into the selected recipient. The other 9 embryos were
cryopreservated using freezing machine (Le Nicoobac MS 21). After some time
embryos were thawed and following classification 7 were transferred into 7
synchronized recipients. In 3 recipients estrus reappeared after 25 days,
in one after 30 days, and in 3 recipients 35 day after the previous estrus,
whereas the pregnancy was ultrasonically established in one recipient on
the 34th day.

Summary: Superovulation was induced using PMSG or FSH
preparations in 29 cows and heifers, aged 12 months to 12 years. The
results of the superovulation treatment were evaluated at the same time of
insemination, first by rectal and then by ultrasonographic examination of
the ovaries. The superovulatory responses of the ovaries were followed on
the Day 7 after induced superovulation and artifical insemination using
rectal examination and ultrasonography. In 26 from 29 females corpora lutea
were established on the ovaries and embryos were collected using PBS medium
and the method of gravitation and aspiration. Total number of 13 embryos
were received and after ovulation at 50% magnification, the 8 high quality
embryos were separated and finally, edding the trening medium, separated in
strows. The controlled freezing procedure of bovine embryos was
accomplished in the freezing machine "LE NICOOLBAC MS 21" and
cryopreservated embryos were plunged and placed into liquid nitrogen. Prior
to transfer in preparated recipients, strows containing embryos were thawed
by a special procedure. Embryos were ovulated again at under magnification
and 7 embryos were transffered in 7 recipient cows, on the Day 7 after
oestrus. In 3 recipients oestrus was observed 25 days after embryo transfer
but in one recipient after 30 days and therefore we consider it as a result
of the early embryonic death.

Summary: Forty-six mares, which were mated from 16 to 58 days prior
to examination, were scanned using a linear-array ultrasound scanner (ALOHA
ECHO CAMERA SSD-210, DX II) with
a 5 MHz transrectal transducer. For 16 animals images were made on
thermopaper, using an electronic printer (MITSUBISHI VIDEO COPY AP-8600).
The pregnancy diagnosis was accurate in 100% of cases. The pregnancy was
detected at the earliest period on the 16th day, when the embryonic vesicle
with embryonic fluid was seen on the screen. From the 24th and 25th day,
besides embryonic vesicle with fluid, we observed an embryo within the
vesicle. In later pregnancy stages our estimation was based upon the foetal
growth rate and positon of the foetus and the foetal membranes.

Summary: Results of investigation about possibilities to state
earlydiagnosis of pregnancy in the cows, mares and goats weredescribed by
using ultrasound transrectal transducer of 5 MHzwith special scanner for
echography, and electronic printer formaking echograms. Investigations were
performed on the 150 cowswhich were pregnant 18 days to 3 months, and on 47
mares, whichhave been mated 16 to 58 days earlier, and on 66 goats mated
30to 70 days prior to examination. From 25 to 28 days of pregnancyin the
cow it is possible to state a sure diagnosis of pregnancy. In the mares the
sure signs of pregnancy were found on 24th to25th day after mating. It was
described changing of position andshape of fetal membranes to the 60th day
of pregnancy. Very sureand simply was to state diagnosis of pregnancy in
the goats bytransrectal transducer of 5 MHz beetwen 30 to 40 days
ofpregnancy.

Summary: Results od ultraound pregnancy diagnosing were described in
103cows, which were pregnant from 21 to 57 days. For 57 cowsechograms were
printed during examination. It was establishedthat from 25th day of
pregnacy with transrectal transducer of 5MHz, it is sure possible to find
fetal membranes, fetal fluidsand contures of the fetus. Growing up of fetus
to the 60th day ofpregnancy was described, established by ultrasound method
ofexamination.

Summary: By using ultrasonic device (Aloha Echo Camera SSD-210 DXII)
and transrectal transducer of 5 Mhz we made 60 searches of ovaries in the
mares and 90 in the cows and heifers. During searching all interesting
pictures were printed by using electronic printer (Mitsubishi Video Copy AP
8600), for later analysis. We were interested for all physiological changes
on the ovaries during sexual cycle, and specially during proestrus and
estrus. Diameter of follicle in the cows and heifers which we could see was
4 to 18 mm. Diameter of follicles during estrus or ovulation was 14 to 18
mm. Corpus luteum was possibly to see and represent from 3rd to 5th day of
sexual cycle to the new estrous. In the mares corpus luteum was possibly to
detect when they have diameter of 3 mm, and later during sexual cycle, and
specially before ovulation it is very easy to diagnosing them and measured
by ultrasonic device. Then diameter of follicles is 4 to 7 cm, and on the
basis of its size it is possible to determine optimal time for insemination
or mating of mares. Determination of ovulation time by ultrasonic control
and by repetition of mating or A.I. it is possible to get maximal results
of pregnancy in the mares and cows.
