Summary: Wood based boards, more frequently are replacing the solid wood nearly in all areas of application. From wood based boards they are more demands on their properties as their fire retardancy, water-repellently, the contents of free-formaldehyde as well as biological resistant. Those new properties should not reduce an effect their mechanical properties (as density, swelling, tensile strength). As a aim to solve the above mentioned problems, in the contents of the project, we are investigating the wood as a raw material for the production of boards. It is, accuratly leaded to investigate the types of wood as well as the other important elements and their effect on the properties of the board. In the same time we are investigating the properties and the usage of the adhesives and the additives, which are using in the production of new types of boards. The wood based boards they have higer density and less hardness from the solid wood from which they were produced. But their advantages is that they are not working in the direction of length and width, biggerdimensions and that what make the integral usage of wood as a raw material. Those are the motives ensure a eminent place for the production of those boards now and in the future. The reset of the project contains are the development and the advancing the technology, method of testing as well as the properties and the usage of the wood based boards.

Research goals: Because of the low hardness of the particle board, the research objectives are to producing a board with a better properties. For that cause, it started to produce a board with oriented particles, which called OSB as a board for building perposes. In the plywood (as the ply veneer wood, block board and veneer plyed elements) with the construction of board we dectate the increase of the hardness of board. To increase the fire retardency of the board, the board is protected in the structure elements as well as on the surface by adding a diffrent types of chemicals which gives the fire retardancy. For the water repellency property,of board, it is produced by using adhesives based of the amino and phenoplast. For the producing the board with less free formaldehyde also the boards are produced with adhesives which ensure that. To produce the board with a better properties of fire retardancy, water repellency, and less free formaldehyde, without decreasing the physical and mechanical properties of the boards. To analyse the raw material by the kind, types of wood as well as the quantity so as to plan the development of the industry of veneer, as well as the wood based boards. It is exepted to increase the kind and type of boards, design and the quality which inable the board to include in a new range of application. The basic aim is very simple for all the technologies and it means to produce more, better quality and less price.
