Summary: An analysis was made of the composition of manure from a
peegbreeding farm. The content, dry matter and NPK nutrients, indicates
that this is a specific sludge rather than liquid manure. By sieving
through straw roll-bales 1:20-30 m3, spontaneus composting resulted in good
compost. The liquid manure problem at pig-breeding farms should be solved
by reducing the proportion of water by means of sieving through straw
immediately at the onset of composting. Environment pollution is now
significantly higher by manure decomposition in the sewage system and
animal rinsinh than by lagoon sludge.

Summary: Results of the analyses of the chemical and microbiological
composition of organic fertilizers of various origin, as well as the
macronutrient requirements for average yields of particular vegetable crops
per unit area are presented in the paper. Special attention is devoted to
LUMBRIPOST (organic fertilizer produced by the technology of breeding
earthworms - Lumbricidae), the application of which in the growing of
vegetables enables considerable savings on costly mineral fertilizers, at
the same time raising the soil biogeny.

Summary: In two-year trials under laboratory conditions of stable
manuredairy cattles was processed by means of earthworms-Lumbricidae.Inboth
investigation years,changes in some physiological groups ofmicroorganisms,
enzymes as well as chemical properties of dungwere monitored during a
sixth-month period. The results showedthat the physical and physiological
action of earthworms had agood effect on the growth and development of
nitrifying bacteriaand cellulolytic microorganisms, as well as on
dehydrogenase andcellulolytic activities. Changes were also recorded in
chemicalproperties of lumbripost in comparison with the starting material-
dung. These changes were relatively small.

Summary: Results of the analyses of cellulolytic activity in samples
of stable manure from fattening young cattle and in lumbripost is
considerably richer in cellulolytic enzymes than stable manure in which
earthworms are not cultivated. almost identical activity of this enzymes
was recorded in manure without earthworms at the begining and at the end of
a six months long laboratory trial.
