    Summary: To find out influence of seed dimensions and shape on sowing quality,different dimensions and shape of spinach seed were used.Influence of different sowing velocites on sowing precision was investigoted in manner that seed of every spinach varieties was sowed at five different velocitas.According toachieved results it could be concluded that by increasing saving velocity changes value of sowing quality langer seed allows higher velocites. If seed is flat and elontagrd shape sowing precision is worse than with spheric shapeseed.

    Summary: This paper reports of investigations, which was carried out tofind influence of spacing drill velocity on sowing quality ofcharacteristical vegetable crops: pea, carrot and spinach. Tofind out influence of seed dimensions and shape on sowingquality, seed of previously mentioned crops were used, because ofits obvious differences in dimensions and shape. Influence ofsowing velocity on sowing quality was investigated in manner thatevery crop was sowed at five different velocities. According toachieved results it could be concluded that increasing of sowingvelocity change value of sowing quality indicators. Increasingsowing velocity with small seed crops, decrease precision, whilesowing larger seed crops allows higher velocities. If seed isflat and elongated shape, sowing precision is worst than withspheric shape seed. Increasing sowing velocity increasepercentage of damaged seed, and highest damage of seed is findout at carrot.
