Summary: Project has two parts: the first is concerned with theoretical basis of economic policy in transition, emphasizing the advantages of market economy approach and taking into the count of given constraints. It consists of: theoretical approach todesiging of economic policy with different countries experiences; modelling of economic policy under different assumptions and critical analisys of the current economic policy. Second part is concerned with the analisys of certain areas of economic policy. It consists of theoretical and empirical analisys, analysis of the past period and future possibilities with economic policy proposals in different areas of economic policy.

Research goals: Research is concerned with theoretical basis for conducy of economic policy in the market economy, specifically from the point of view of the transition process from the administrative non-market economy, and with designing of applied economic policy in specific areas keeping in mind developmental and stabilization tasks of economic policy, i.e., with the emphasis on designing economics policy which aimes both to stabilize and achive maximum possible growth.
