Summary: Research on this project was divided in following parts:
Croatian Economy within the former Yugoslavia, International Economic
Position of Croatia, The Conditions of Economic Progress in Period of
Crisis, Distribution System, Quality of Policy of Economic Development, The
Economic Basis of War Against Croatia. Research contents a global analysis
of tempo, dynamics and economic position of Croatian economy in former
Yugoslavia (1945-1990), and an assessmend of economic situation in the
Republic of Croatia (1990-1992).
Research goals: The purpose of research was, on the basis of large
number of economic indicators, to assess the economic position of Croatian
economy and possibility of development. The results of analysis shows that
Croatia had persistantly legged behind world economic trends and been
subservient to the interests of Serbia that finally led to the downfall of
Yugoslavia and to an armed aggression on Croatia. Conclusions provides a
review of past policy and future questions that need to be deal with in
immediate future.
