Summary: Entering the epoch where an information and knowledge are dominated the necessity for a new indicators of measuring the business efficiently is comprehensible. Finally, such a measure has also been found for the business conditons in the industrial epoch. When we had capital intensive enterprise a measure that indicates the rationality of using that capital was also necessary. That indicator was capital coefficient. It indicated how much financial capital was also necessary. That indicator was capital coefficient. It indicated how much financial capital units would be invested to obtain one financial unit of a new production. Today, when the knowledge intensive enterprises are beginning to dominate, is completely understandable that the new indicator of measuring the efficiency of using the knowledge must appear. With this is done only the shift to creating the business information system for the new economic epoch. This research and the process of empirical proving which is in a process have shown that the value added and VAIC indicator are the possible solution for modern business activity.
