Summary: Officially supported export credits have been considered as one of the capital flows for the financing of the developing countries upgrowth. The decrease of their influence has been identified in the last decade, and the causes of that decrease have been analysed as well as the hypothesis of further movement has been given. It is connected with the analysis of the competitive role difficulty of the export credits in the international trade of capital commodities. The results of both analysis have served as a pattern for the evaluation of the advantages and drawbacks of the Croatian position as a debtor and creditor country of the official export credits. The evaluation of the position of Croatia in the active role of a creditor has been researched on the basis of the achieved industrial development of the capital goods and credit worthiness of the country. Summary: Since the so called "black hole" of the small business sector was detected in socialist economies, it has been diagnosed as one of the main structural reasons for poor economic performance. Our intention is to analyse the degree to which the transitional period in Croatia so far has succeeded in filling this gap. An issue, central to our analysis, concerns the accuracy with which the available statistical evidence reflects the real extent of recent small business proliferation. To further the analysis, we will attempt to clarify the underlying business logic behind newly created enterprises, as well as informal forms of enterprise. So, by better understanding how the average small business in Croatia works, we expect to achieve a more precise evaluation of its impact on Croatian economic development.

Type of work: Referat za međunarodni znanstveni skup, Rijeka, 16. i 17.11.1995.
    Language: hrvatski
Summary: The aim of the research is to suggest some of the possible measures for stimulating the small entrepreneurship in the Republic of Croatia. The present state is analysed, the key restrictions are established and the application of the positive experiences of some of the European countries is suggested. The research is mainly concerned with the regional level, i.e. the role and the tasks of the county and local governments in supporting and promoting small entrepreneurship. The paradigm is Primorsko-goranska County. Financing is particularly examined as the most significant stimulating measure for the development of the small entrepreneurship subjects in the industrial sector, where there are very few of them in Croatia and where the tendency to enlarge their number is the slowest.
