Summary: The research is beeing carried out in the field of
commercial law and private international law (including law of
international trade) of the European Communities (Union). Specific fields
of law covered by the project are: - European Community (Union) Law - the
character of its Institutions and International law - Company law -
Private international (Comparative) law of international transactions and
other obligations - Industrial property law and Copyright law - Civil
procedure, Execution and Bankruptcy - International commercial arbitration
- International monetary law - Transport law.

Research goals: The main goal of the project is the study and the
theoretical understandings of commercial law and private international law
(including the law of international trade) of the European Communities
(Union) which effects commercial as well as other legal relations of the
other European countries with the European Union. Expected result of the
project is to provide theoretical basis and concrete proposals for the
harmonisation of the Croatian law with the European Union law in these
fields, and where such harmonisation is not fully possible, proposals for
the approachement to the standards adopted by the European Union, in order
to enable or to facilitate the entry of the Republic Croatia into different
Europan integrations.
