Summary: Family circumstances have been registered continuously
beforeschooling especially for the fifth grade of primary school, onthe
sample of 464 primary school pupils in Zagreb. Investigationis carried out
with two questionnaires about family lifeconditions, in two observed time
periods. The relations betweenfamily circumstances were analysed. The
significant connectionbetween observed family circumstances occurred in
eight pairs ofquasicanonic factors. The connection between pairs of
cannonicfactors points out cumulation of risk factors from one to
anotherobserved period of family circumstances.

Summary: The aim of this paper was to elaborate first evidence
aboutfamily circumstances and their relation with particular primary
schools, and the most frequent behaviouralmodalities of tested pupils
(N = 484).
Results presented on the descriptive level, point out risk areasin life
conditions of pupil's family. Further results show thatthe most frequent
behavioural modalities, cannot be connectedwith risk variables of family
circumstances. This is completelyunderstandable according the modality,
but not negligence andindifference and low success in learning.

Summary: Among observed ways of pupil's behaviour, only few could
becalled undesired: unsociabileness, negligence, indifference,timidity,
depression, and being spoiled. In this work theconnection between these,
relatively frequent ways of undesiredbehaviours and other behaviours, was
tested, and the analysis oftheir modalities in relation with the general
success in schoolwas carried on. Author's opinion is that these
connectionscould be explained much better after one detailed analysis
of sociodemographic characteristics of particular school areas.

Summary: The relations between variables estimating pupil's
behaviour andvariables estimating some unchangable family circumstances
havebeen interpreted on the basis of canonic correlation analysis, carried
out on the sample of 464 pupils. The results show thatfor the low school
success, different behaviour disordersconnected with schooling, as well as
for the differentbehavioural disturbances of minor intensity, is
responsible lowparental educational status and unfavourable family
culturallevel, separate life of parents and the early separation of

Summary: Relation between actual family characteristics and
pupil'sbehavioural characteristics were estimated on the sample of 464five
grade pupil's. Canonic correlation analysis extracted 12significant canonic
factors, among which the first one and thesecond one are the best defined.
The first factor is cumulatingnegative family characteristics, inadequate
upbringingprocedures, which is connected with the factor of
predelinquentand delinquent behaviour in pupils coming from such families.
Thesecond factor is the factor of optimal family life conditions andis
connected with the factor of no-existing behaviouraldisturbances.

Summary: Relations between cognitive abilities and modalities
disturbedbehaviour were tested on the sample of 464 five grade pupils.
Onepair of quasicanonic factors was extracted through the method
ofcanonical analysis of covariance. This pair shows an averageconnection
between general cognitive actor and behaviouraldisturbance variables. The
direction of relations and structureof factors shows that the decline in
the cognitive ability levelis connected primarily with the lack in school
success and muchlower with other ways of disturbed behaviour.

Summary: Relations between dimensions defined under cybernetic
model ofconative functions and estimations of behavioural modalities
inpuberty, were analysed under the model of canonic correlationanalyses and
canonic covariance analyses, on the sample of 484 11years old, primary
school pupils. Under both models a significantconnection between
personality characteristics and modalities wasfound. This connection can be
attributed to adaptionaldifficulties on the school and family environment,
as well as toneurotical behavioural modalities in children with
disturbedsystem for regulation and control of conative functions.

Summary: This paper discusses the structure of cognitive abilities
aswell as some theories. Some differences between the cognitivedevelopment
of delinquents and nondelinquents have beendiscussed. Basic model in
investigating the part which cognitiveabilities take in different delicti,
should be the structuralmodel. This model is based on the interactive
relationshipbetweeen the factors from the delinquents biologic,
psychologicand social environment.

Summary: On the sample of 158 juveniles connection between neurotism
andperception of the treatment was analysed. Neurotism wasquestioned using
variables of sthenic and asthenic syndrome, whereas perception of the
treatment was analysed by a speciallydevised questionnaire. Obtained
results suggests basic fact thatthere is negative correlation between
neurotism and acceptance ofthe leader, this actions and treatment in
general. Neuroticjuveniles rejected the leader of the educational measure
becausehe was the source of frustration that brought into danger
theirselfconcept.

Summary: The aim of this study was to look into relations
betweensubject-matter and indicator of successfulness of educationalmeasure
connected with family situation of probationer (N=158).Relation between
them were determined by the method of canoniccovariance analysis. First
canonic dymension is defined bysocioeconomic status of a subjects family.
Second canonicdymension implies that quicker forming of family was
connectedwith the existence of disturbances of interpersonal relationswith
the subjects family.

Summary: This paper deals with relationship between socio-economic
characteristics of probationer and effectiveness of probation. On sample of
158 ex-probands, the catamnestic investigation was conducted. 12 pairs of
quasicanonical factors were extracted, but only seven pairs of factors were
analyzed. Results show that some probationer's activities in his social
environment are more desirable, and other less desirable for effectiveness
of treatment.

Summary: The aim of this work was to examine a relations between
behavior modalities and social integration efficiancy. One set of variables
on the pupil behavior modalities has been investigated, first in the 5.
grade and than 3. years later (N=88). Discriminant analysis has shown
significant relation between active forms of behavior disturbances and a
better social integration, and between passive forms of behavior
disturbances and poorly social integration.

Summary: Relations between modalities of behaviour and cognitive
abilities were analyzed on the sample of 464 8. grade pupils from 5 primary
schools. Quasicanonic correlation analysis extracted a statistically
significant pair of factors. The level of cognitive abilities correlates
only with modalities of behaviour which are actual in school situations and
with modalities of behaviour which represent personality in social
situations.

Summary: The aim of the paper to define the latent structure of
educating style of parents of pre-school age children. Work is based on
theoretical model of parental upbringing style (Lamborn et al., 1990) The
results show that the latent space of parents' nurturing behavior style is
structured differently, depending on who makes the assessment and which
group of children we are dealing with.

Summary: In this study the socio-emotional status of 343 pre-school
children (aged 3 to 4) was assessed by their parents (N=341) and educators
(N=74). Factor analysis of educators' assessment extracted factors of
asociality, agressiveness and difficulties of child's adjustment to
kindergarten environment; analysis of parental assessment extracted factors
of agressiveness, constant socioemotional evenopment and child's
socialization. The results showed that parents and educators differ in
perceiving the disturbances in socio-emotional development of pre-school
children.

Summary: The aim of this paper is to examine relation between
welfare interventions toward 172 juvenile delinquents included in
institutional treatment when they were between 14 and 21 years old.
Canonical analysis showed that although social welfare institutions
undertook earlier interventions toward the subjects and their families
concerning their behavior or family circumstances, every measure was
inefficient, because the subjects turned back to the delinquency.

to develop, the follows the parallel processor, and the serial processor is
the slowest; this confirms already existing knowledge about development of
cognitive abilities.

Summary: The aim of the paper was investigation of relations between
structure and socioeconomic status of the family of incarcerated juvenile
delinquent and family pathology. The sample consisted of 172 delinquents
of both sexes who were given institutional reeducation measure. This paper
shows that formal completeness of family is hardly an obstacle to deviant
behavior if it is not followed by other favourable elements of family
atmosphere. It can be seen from the results that the largest number of the
families with evident sociopathological behaviors are complete.

Summary: In this paper, the following hypothesis was tested: the
supervision of the court which issued sentence (and not only the
supervision of the welfare institution) will contribute to greater
efficiency of probation (Ne=79, Nk=98 juvenile delinquents). Chi-square
test did not show statistically significant differences between two
samples. This result is consequence of weak "power of authority" of the
juvenile court, which is not larger than "power of authority" of welfare
institutions.

Summary: On the sample of examinees consisted of 173 juvenile
delinquents undergoing institutional reeducation treatment (aged 14-21) the
hypotheses about dominant importance of disturbed relations in family, as
the ethiological mechanism of personality and behavior disorders of
juvenile delinquents and also about importance of parents' alcoholism on
family relations disturbances was examined. Canonical correlation analysis
showed that disturbances in the intrafamily interactions are dominantly
provoked by exaggerated alcohol consumption of parents.
