Summary: The establishment of new territorial organization of
Croatiaimplicates a need for change for the existing Law on
TouristAssociations and the Promotion of Croatian Tourism. On the basisof

Summary: Based on public statistical data, the article analyzes
theinfluence of the construction of "Krčki bridge" linking theisland Krk
with coast on tourism development in the Krk commune.Using the same
parameters a comparison is made with anotherisland commune on Cres-Lošinj.
Results of the analysis show thatthe new bridge has had an important
influence on tourismdevelopment in the Krk commune which, however, has
becomemanifest five to six years after the bridge was opened.

Summary: This work is primarily a geomorphological study. The relief
of the areas studied is divided into basic structural-geomorphological
units (the work of endogenous and surface morphological processes and the
relief they are responsible for is studied). The obtained geomorphological
results are used in evaluating this region from an ecological and tourism
development point of view, allowed the evaluation of the relief assigning
it different value categories. Finally, dividing the coast into basic
coastal types and determining the physical carrying capacity made it
possible, based on the existing tourism facilities to determine the
saturation coefficient and provide possible guidelines for the future
tourism development.

Summary: Croatian campsites are markedly concentrated in coastal
zone, having about 98 percent of total cam places, and western coast of
Istria alone about 40 percent. Except in Istria, more campsites can be seen
on Kvarner islands, round Zadar and Šibenik and on Makarska Riviera. The
occupancy rate is higher in Istria, than in Dalmatia. It is suggested not
to built new campsites, except in continental part of Croatia, but to
upgrade the existing ones.

Summary: The progress in the field of economy, as well as the
cultural, social and technological development of humanity, and the
geo-political changes in the world have great influence upon the tourism
trends. For the tourism in Croatia, which is mainly based on the traveling
on medium size distance, the great importance lies on the geographical
changes in it's immediate and wider surrounding. In these moment the
changes are not favorable, because they have led to the war in Croatia, but
concerning the long term period Croatia contains great potential because of
reorientation of some new markets toward Croatian tourism. Unfortunately
Croatia is not adequately equipped to accept the newly expected tourist
flow, so it must decide upon some crucial adaptations in the
transportational system.

In the introduction of article, the author stresses the underdevelopment of
rural tourism in Croatia. He then points to some countries which have
succeeded in this type of tourism and gives a terminological explanation of
"rural tourism" and "tourism on the farm" due to possible meanings of these

Summary: During the period of the last hundred years the population
on the Croatia's islands has grown until it reached the maximum around the
year 1910, after that it's number started decreasing. The drastic
aberration from the average on all the islands appeared after the year
1960. On the particular islands the decrease of the number of the
inhabitants, the agricultural production and the quality of life was
drastic while on the islands which developed tourism, the number of the
inhabitants increased, so the economy and the conditions of life and work
have improved as well. The analysis of such cases shows that the
agriculture and tourism are complementary factors, which considered in
their togetherness can solve the majority of the negative phenomena which
have appeared on the Croatia's islands during the last years.

Title: Influence of relief on the touristic-ecological
evaluation: case study of the Crikvenica-Vinodol Riviera

Summary: This work is primarily a geomorphological study. The relief
ofthe areas studied is divided into basicstructural-geomorphological units
(the work of endogenous andsurface morphological processes and the relief
they areresponsible for is studied). The obtained geomorphologicalresults
are used in evaluating this region from an ecological andtourism
development point of view, allowed the evaluation of therelief assigning it
different value categories. Finally, dividingthe coast into basic coastal
types and determining the physicalcarrying capacity made it possible, based
on the existing tourismfacilities to determine the saturation coefficient
and providepossible guidelines for the future tourism development.
