Summary: A paticular model of the graphical communication has
beenpresented in education, construction and production by way of
atechnical and technological documentation. The model has beenpedagogically
and theoretically organized and verified; it is, atthe same time,gradual
and unbroken, applicable; it includes newsolutions characterized by
clearness, and connection with appliedmathematics, technology and
production, and electronic computermachines-computers. From the basic
technical drawing, throughnormative aksionomatry and perspective, the model
leads to wire,plane and solid models, which are used in CAD/CAM, including
theelements of aestetic and art aspects. The
basicinformations,i.e.,instructions are being worked out visually inseveral
developmental phases, especially basic geometricalconstructions, designing,
twisted countours and plane curves, aswell as prismatic, cylindrical, conic
and spherical forms andtheir mutual penetrations. The book consists of 20
computersolutions: in the FORTRAN programme on IMB PC; the
structureprogramme language GFA Basic on ATARI ST; by application of
thepacket programme Solid-Diad on TEKTRONIX, ISBS on INTERGRAPH, andI-DEAS
on VAX and Hewlett Packard electronic system.

Summary: The philosophy of authorial approach is based on the idea
that the three-dimensional perception, wich is generically of the primary
quality, is rather pre-set than generated. It assumes the necessity of its
systematic guidance and development because not everybody can see what he
looks at and its appropriate two-dimensional presentation in technology and
arts. Thus, the final outcome appears to be a completely reversible
process. On the one hand, the three-dimensional perception of an object is
totally transposed into a two-dimensional drawing which reflects the
author's idea sa closely as possible. On the other hand, the receiver is
able to visualize three-dimensionally the author's original idea.
The book contains computor solutions to some geometrical and technical
tasks which applied the programme package SOLID-DIAD on TEKTRONIX, I-DEAS
on VAX and HEWLETT-PACKARD, ISBS on VAX and INTERGRAPH electronics systems,
and solutions to two monument projects which are interpreted on the
INTERGRAPH electronic system.

Summary: The role of the ultimate user is of the extreme importance
inboth the development and implementation of computer aided sytem.The
objective of this paper is to contribute to understanding theimportance of
the role and the quality of the relation betweenthe user and the
informatics staff. In the course of her work onPh.D. the author studied the
factors which influence theproductivity of software development. This paper
elaborates onlythose factors which are directly related to the ultimate
user.After statistical elaboration they have all shown very high ranksof
correlation below 1% probability that corelation occuredaccidentaly. In
this way the role of the user is proved, and thepaper coninues to analyse
the user's wishes and fears in order toshad light on the motives which
induce the user to cooperate orto show resistance and passiveness. Besides
text-books the authoruses her own sistem-engineering experience as well as
theexperience in teching students and the courses for the employed.The
suggested procedures enable a better cooperation between theinformatics
staff and the user and the training of the user isparticularly elaborated.
The obvious conclusion is that eachinvestment in informatization should be
followed by specific carein training the users and during normal vocational
schooling oneshould bear in mind the fact that an expert in any line will
oneday also be the user of informatics sevices. Only if there is agood
cooperation with the users of its services the informaticscan yeald the
results expected.

Summary: The paper aims to find out the motivation of the user to
make useof computer hardware and the methods to train him to apply
thesoftware tools at the highest possible levels. To that purpose asmall
organization unit has been observed interesting for a pilotsurvey because
of exeptionally good results in using informaticsequipment. As agreed with
the head of the unit the authors havecarried out the survey which should
reveal the possible couses ofpositive shifts. The statistical analyses
pointed to theemployees' professional qualifications as a feature yielding
ahigh factor of correlation grade with the level of informaticstraining,
although this employees had no informatics in theirschool-days to get
acquainted with the equipment and tools theyuse today. The role of the head
of the unit has been founddecisive so the part of the paper deals with his
problems,solutions and plans with the hope to serve as an experience
tothose who wish to enhance the application of informatics in
theirenvironment, for there is no successful information systemwithout a
trained well-meaning and constructive user.

Summary: The cooperation between the end user of automatic data
processingand the professional informatics staff is of the
decisiveimportance in automatization of a certain firm. The objective
ofthis paper has been to find out the factors influencing such
acooperation. To that purpose a survey was taken comprissing 261people
examined, users and informatics staff, questioned to whatextend they were
satisfied with the cooperation and the reasonsfor their altitude. Studing
the individual answres of theexamined interesting options were encountered,
and statisticaldata showed that both users and informatics staff in
simplemajority were satisfied with cooperation, the user being
moresatisfied with cooperation then the profesionals, female usersare more
satisfied than male users, and the users that usecomputer as a tool more
independly are less satisfied withinformatics staff than the passive user.

themachine organization of IBM RISC System/6000 processor and todiscuss to

The IBM RISC System/6000 was released in1990 and is claimed to be a second
generation RISC processor. Itemploies a number of design issues such as
multiple functionalunits and effective execution pipelining. It is
characterized bya high floating point performance. This opinion of the
authors isthat all important features of the RISC processors in 80's
arepreserved in the IBM 6000, but due to the significanttechnological
improvements, some of them have been reformulated.On the other hand, IBM
6000 reflects also the design of highperformance computers in past decade.

Summary: The paper presents two important aspects of KSR-1's
performance. First, we report delays caused by the multiple writers
problem. In other words, the performance is measured when multiple
processing nodes issue simultaneous write requests for s single subpage
(the smallest memory unit for transfer and consistency control). Second, we
evaluate the performance impact of the prefetch instruction. The testbed
for these experiments is composed of two well known numeric algorithms,

Summary: This paper presents using of predicate/transition net for
subset of Horn clause logic programs. Predicat/transition nets are net
representation of first order predicate logic. They have been developed to
enhanced the modeling and analyzing power of Petri nets and to offer formal
treatment of individuals and their relations for dynamic systems. These
nets are shemes of ordinary Petri nets. Petri nets are choosen as a mean to
model logic programs because logic programming includes nondeterministic,
parallel computing activities, and Petri nets theory is a powerful tool for
modeling and analyzing of these activities. The proposed net model offers
syntactical variant of Horn clause logic and has two characteristics:
representation formalism and the deduction method. A predicate/transition
net provides an aproach towards the solutions of the separation of logic
form from control and execution efficiency through parallel processing for
the logic programs.

Summary: This paper describes a model for specifying synchronization
schemes in distributed asynchronous multimedia systems. The consistency and
semantics of multimedia systems depend on the temporal behaviour of
information streams and we need to specifies corresponding synchronization
schemes. It has been shown that the Time Stream Petri Net model brings
interesting contributions to the theory of Petri Nets. That model can also
be used as a modeling basis for any multimedia information at different
levels of abstraction. The Time Stream Petri Nets model allows the timed
behaviour of information streams to be formally, fully and accurately
described.

Summary: It is known that in hypertext systems are used different
techniques in searching through information. Classical search techniques
treat nodes as independent entities. Moreover, to write a query the users
encounter many problems such as how to find appropriate terms that
described the information needs, or how to correct write a query in a

This paper describes an approach based on Bayesian network. Bayesian
network is used to represent the indexing terms and to store the user's
information needs. The considered approach does not require the user to
write a formal query because the computation required is accomplished
automatically, using a constrained spreading activation. This solution has
to take link semantics into account to search the relevant starting points
for browsing.

Summary: Numerious input cards for the PC and Macintosh for all
kinds ofdata, such as text, sounds, TV, pictures still and animated,

applications. In addition to such hardware potential,new software offers
good tools for good quality picture and soundtransformation. Hypertext and
multimedia offer excellenthypermedial object oriented interfaces to the
user. Scriptlanguages or graphical symbols very easy to learn, offer new
waysto a personal electronic vademecum. Solutions for the need ofsmall
portable computer are new notebooks with PCMCIA and opticalmass memories.
Some applications with Hypercard or Supercard onMacintosh and Toolbook on
PC are described.
