Summary: The essay is an afterword to the Arnold Gehlen's book "Man and Institutions" (selected, afterword and edited by H. Burger). Pages: from 53 to 68
    Number of references: 21
    Language: hrvatski
Summary: Continuing to the insights of the classics of philosophical anthropology G. Dux developed a certain anthropology of time sa a cognitive construction in the framework of a certain genetic and historical theory of mind. The time of action is for him an vertical in all dimensions of time and it removes the man form the natural time. Considering the notion of a subject as "a competence for the universal", a question is raised whether this competence is constructive for time. It seems that Dux had to pay too great a price for understanding the subject as a constructor, for time could be deducible only as a construct.
Keywords: anthropology of time, cognitive construct, philosophical anthropology, social time
